National Credit Card??

A Redder State of Mind has an interesting idea to help pay off the deficit. He is encouraging folks to come over and talk about it. I like the plan and think it could work. Here it is:
Imagine boosting the economy, protecting/creating American jobs, and helping pay off the deficit by doing something that you do on a regular basis. Chances are you will be doing it more than usual over the next month. If you haven’t guessed it by now, it is paying for products with a charge card.
The idea is to create a government controlled credit card. This card would have all of the following:
Low interest rate to encourage spending and give the economy a boost
Give cash back on purchases where the product was made in the USA, thus protecting/creating American jobs
Money generated is used to pay off the nation debt.
