Kim and I went down to Gloucester today to have lunch with some other wives of fishermen. It was a nice get together, and the weather was great. My only complaint about the area is the SMELL. What is that nasty scent?? It must be the fish. We wondered around the area and it always breaks my heart to see this:

Not much of a fisherman type myself as I always lived atleast 200 miles inland my entire life. But I did watch the Perfect Storm and other documentaries that talk about the crav fishermen, etc. Those films and tv shows definitely show that the job of these men of the sea definitely is dangerous and I gained a definite respect for them.

It’s hard on the guys for sure…they’re out there doing all the work, day and night, for weeks on end. But for Kim and the women, they sit around and live in fear and worry all this time. Long before movies like the Perfect Storm came out…the guys talk about the weather out on the high seas all the time. They brag about it and what they have survived. I hate to see Kim without her hubby. :cry:
