This just passed through my area. I love it. I love being outside when it happens.
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Heavy rains and hail pounded parts of the state Thursday afternoon, and more thunderstorms were expected in the evening.
Some of the strongest storms hit Loudon, N.H., where workers were preparing for this weekend’s New England 300 NASCAR race. Strong winds blew down part of a stage that was already assembled, and pea-size hail fell for a few minutes.
The thunderstorms brought winds of 50 mph to 60 mph. The storms that passed through in the afternoon had moved off the coast by 5 p.m., but more cells of thunderstorms were moving out of New York and could reach New Hampshire later in the evening.
Several communities lost power during the storms. Public Service Co. of New Hampshire said that customers in 15 towns were without power, and Unitil said that about 2,300 customers lost power in the Loudon Road area of Concord.

… yeah, we haven’t had a GOOD storm in a long time – get some serious thunder/lightning and rain going … oh yea.
(Although it makes one of my German Shepherds curl up in a corner …)

I like rain, but in the Midwest, we’re in tornado alley…if I knew it was just thunder and a little hail, I’d be okay, but we’re due another tornado…it’s been waaaaay too quiet.
