Foreign-born terrorists or Illlegal Immigrants?

Posted by Raven on August 29th, 2005

When I read reports like this I want to drive down to DC and demand Congress and President Bush do something about the illlegal immigration shit that is going on. For all the work the Minutemen have done, all the reporting and blogging and other action people have taken, it’s not working. The people are not being heard.
What will it take for them to make needed changes?

Suspected or convicted foreign-born terrorists have routinely exploited federal immigration laws over the last decade to enter or remain in the United States illegally, according to a report set for release Tuesday.

Once in the country, some of them became naturalized citizens, says the report distributed by the Center for Immigration Studies, an advocate for stricter immigration policies.

The report provides newly compiled data on U.S. terror arrests to illustrate gaps in the nation’s border security, visa approval and immigration systems. It was written by Janice Kephart, who served as counsel to the 9/11 Commission that investigated missteps leading to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

“The attack of 9/11 was not an isolated instance of al-Qaida infiltration into the United States,” the 46-page report found.

“In fact, dozens of operatives both before and after 9/11 — other than the 9/11 hijackers — have managed to enter and embed themselves in the United States, actively carrying out plans to commit terrorist acts against U.S. interests or support designated foreign terrorist organizations,” the report concluded. “For each to do so, they needed the guise of legal immigration status to support them.”

Are those we pay to represent us reading this report? Do they care? It sure doesn’t look that way to me. People need to figure out what’s important to them, the country, their children…and base their votes upon this.

Overall, 59 of 94 foreign-born nationals who were either convicted or indicted on terror charges broke federal immigration laws to enter or remain in the country between 1993 and 2004, the report found. It also noted:

_Twenty-two of the 94 either had student visas or other applications approving them to study in the United States; another 17 used visitor visas to enter the country.

_In at least 13 instances, suspected and convicted terrorists overstayed their temporary visas.

_Seven of the 94 were indicted for using false driver’s licenses, birth certificates, Social Security cards and immigration records.

_Twenty-one became naturalized citizens.

The report identified many of the immigrants as affiliated with at least one terror organization, including 40 with al-Qaida, 16 with Hamas, 16 with the Palestinian or Egyptian Islamic Jihad, and six with Hezbollah.

See how easy it is to gain entry into the country even when you might be known as a terrorist, or at least a member of one of the Islamafreakoid Fan Clubs. Lots of people are complaining about the Mexicans pouring into the country, and for good reason. One reason we should be concerned, but isn’t often talked about because it’s too politically INCORRECT to do so…Mexicans look like Muslims. One often cannot tell them apart. The Muslims who want to hurt is know this. Before I vote for anyone in any office, I want to know what their exact standing is on this very important issue.

This pisses me off so much I want to vote Libertarian. I would if it would not help the socialists more than hurt the republicans. Both parties SUCK on this issue. I have not been able to figure out why. Now we know that it is not because no one told them so.

Its scary as hell for sure.

The Democrats don’t care because they’re so sure they’ll get those fraudulent votes and they can demand more federal dollars to keep them here and keep their votes. They prove this by fighting legislation that says one must show legal ID to vote.

The Republicans just can’t do math. The federal level Republicans don’t care because the burden of medical care and housing for these illegals falls on the state most affected, not the federal gov’t. Then the state Republicans see it as a way to demand more funding from the feds which increases our federal taxes.

It’s all about the politicians trying to keep their jobs. It has nothing to do with we who want things done fairly and right.

Look at Bill Richardson from New Mexico. He’s declaring a state of emergency because of the illegals and the economic and social stress they’ve placed on his state. But he wants to give them driver licenses. He uses some of the most screwed up logic for this I’ve ever heard. And people fall for it. But why really? Because then they will use those licenses to register and vote for him.
