For your birthday, I will write you a poem, or sing you a song, paint you a painting, or cook your favorite meal, or take you dancing, or make you laugh, by writing you a corny poem, and then I will read it to you while you are eating a meal, and then we could go dancing, or whatever you want to do will always be fine with me, as long as it don’t involve midgets. I am so jealous of midgets, they are so hot right now…

Okay, so this guy is a bit over the top, but I gotta disagree with ya, Kender. I love my strong, manly man, but love romance, flowers, and mushy stuff, too. Without romance, a man is just that…a man. Heheheheh!

The difference between Kender (May his Name be Blessed) and this guy is that this guy has a better understanding of the power of words on many (most?) women. But, Kender has other qualities!!!

LOL I’ve never been into flowers and candy and all that STUFF. I’ve never been in a position to get them. LOL so I guess I shouldn’t make a judgement.
But I will anyway.
Little gifts don’t mean anything. I think this guy is just trying to show that he is willing to give in to the materialistic women of the world.
There’s nothing wrong with the little gifts AFTER you’re together…but why waste your time and money on something that might not happen???

Gifts should come from the heart with NO EXPECTATIONS of ANYTHING in return……too many people forget this (men and women both), and use “gifts” to gauge love and friendship.
I very RARELY give gifts of any sort. When I give a gift it is purely from the heart, and only given to see someone’s eyes light up.

i think it’s totally sweet. he’s a soft-hearted guy, a hopeless romantic, and still very secure about his manliness. it’s a wonder that he’s still single, really.

He isn’t secure about his manliness, he is a rug waiting to be walked on by the first user or golddigger (if he has money) that comes along.
There is a vast difference between saying “I will care for you and spoil you” and “I will do anything you ask of me.”
One shows Love for another person, the other a weak willed person that is not secure in their own self worth and will subjugate their SELF completely to ATTEMPT to make another person happy.
Happiness comes from within, and not realizing that truth and spending all of your time to try to make another happy shows that the one attempting to make someone else happy has lost their own sense of self and is, in fact, depressed to a ridiculous point.
