Howard The Coward Scream Dean speaks yet again, no, he yells again:
OAKLAND, Calif. – Democratic Party chief Howard Dean accused President Bush and the Republican Party on Friday of exploiting the immigration issue for political gain by scapegoating Hispanics.
Dean and Bush agree on the legislation at the heart of the debate. Both support a Senate bill that would expand guest-worker programs for an estimated 400,000 immigrants each year.
READ the second paragraph. Dean and Bush agree. Says a lot.
“This is a nonsensical proposal put out by far right-wingers in the Republican Party who have been endorsed for re-election by the president of the United States,” Dean said. “The president has a moral obligation to rein in the right-wing extremists in his party and stop this divisive rhetoric about immigrants.”
Rein in right wing extremists?? What about the 67% of Americans who agree with the right on this issue? Are you calling all of them right wing extremist Howdy Doody?? Go to Mexico where you deserve to live.

I think the right-wing extremists are more of a problem in other issues. Sex education, pornography and free speech, media obscenity regulation… just about anything related to sex… church/state seperation, court appointees, even enviromental policy.

Stop saying the right wing has problem with all things SEX. That’s just not true.
Right minded people are far more sexual than any liberal I have ever known. And I used to keep the company of liberals…I know.

Hmm… lets look at a few notable rightist policies:
Abortion: bad. Very very bad, and cannot be justified.
Abstinance-only education: Split, but a significent number say good
pornography: Destroyes lives, not ‘free speech’ so ban it. Espicially internet.
Sex education in general: Only if the parents allow it.
Homosexuality: bad.
Media reguation: No sexual references to be allowed in broadcast. Children must be protected from sexual content in all media.
Sorry, but from the outside… I think that as the right has become increasingly associated with the religious, some ideology has begun to flow both ways. The ’sex is sin’ idea is one of those. Right-wing, religious, conservative… there is so much overlap between them, the views of one become the views of them all.

The satnce of “abortion cannot be justified” is held by a small minority of people here.
Abortion on demand is what we are against, as many women that get abortions go on to have mental health issues.
If you want an abortion, fine, but you should no longer be eligible for state funded mental health care should you have one.
I should not have to pay for your bad choices.

Interesting view… I would be interested in knowing the exact cause of these mental health issues – how much is cultural guilt? – but I have no knowledge of the area. Further debate in the area is not possible without this knowledge.

We don’t need facts and figures and all that bullshit.
Women who have abortions feel guilty- because in the end they KNOW they have taken a life. It’s pretty damn simple.
Guilt is a natural effect when we do something we know is wrong. Guilt can become overwhelmning. Then it turns into mental health issues.
Put that all aside anyway.

It is murder and it should not be allowed; the argument of women’s right to control her own body? She should have controlled her freakin self in the first place, used borth control or just said NO.

Those who need porn are in need of something, thats for sure. It does destroy marrages and relationships because very few “average” people look like the porn stars; almost all the acts in porn flicks- for the women esp. do not produce anything remotely like an orgasm, yet average women are expected to “enjoy” the acts and they act them out live. Sorry it doesn’t work that way. Porn is a big farce, a lie, an act. It’s not real hate to inform you.

Yet another liberal ideal. Teach kids young what is expected of them when it comes to sex. So when they’re a little older they can become porn stars and go on to live the most miserable sex lives of all people. Sorry, thats they way it is. Sex education is not something the mostly liberal education establishment should be teaching.

It is. It’s not NATURAL and it is a weakness and it’s actually a symptom of people who cannot maintain a normal relationship. It’s disgusting.

Yes children should be protected. BUT once again by doing this we take away from that pool of potential sex partners of perverted liberals who think they are progressive. Sorry I don’t want my 3 year old hearing about blow jobs.

I didn’t intend to bring up each of these issues seperatly. I was listing them in order to explain why the right looks, from the outside, to be very anti-sex in all forms. Just giving them as examples. But, since you provide the framework for an interestind discussion here… I think we are going to have some very long posts soon :>

She should have, yes. But, unfortunatly, People Are Stupid. That phrase deserves the capitals. Early abortion is a backup. Later abortion, you can justify stricter restrictions.

What strikes me as odd here is that you appear to support abstinance-only education… and yet above, you asked that women use birth control. They cant do that properly unless they are taught to, and how to. So, which will it be?

All those points are perfectly true, though perhaps a little exagerated. But is it enough to justify some conservative policies? Free speech, espicially for speech you dont like, is a fairly important ideal.

You have your oppinion. But on what do your base this oppionion, and on what authority do you issue this condemnation? I know many homosexuals, ive never had any problem with them. Ans as for ‘not natural’… well, you are talking to me on a computer. Your food comes from farms. You live in a building of brick and choped wood. Not natural? So?

Your bashing of liberals in general does little for your arguement.
