Momma’s gonna keep you under her wing

Posted by Raven on June 27th, 2006

Hush, my baby. baby, dont you cry.
Mommas gonna make all of your nightmares come true.
Mommas gonna put all of her fears into you.
Mommas gonna keep you right here under her wing.
She wont let you fly, but she might let you sing.
Mommas gonna keep baby cozy and warm.

Peace Mom (yeah right) Cindy Sheehan has some secrets she isn’t sharing with the world. We recall her rantings about how the government “screwed” her over when it came to getting a headstone for her son Casey’s grave. We recall how she blamed everyone else for this- everyone from the government to the funeral director to anyone else she could lash out at. Many people believed her lies. And many felt sorrrrrry for her.

Surely we should feel some pity for poor Cindy Sheehan for having to fork out the money for her son’s tombstone, even though he died in combat in service to his country? Well, again, this is where Sheehan’s story doesn’t fit the facts.

What she apparently forgot to tell the world in her bitter defense of her son’s unmarked grave was that the funeral reimbursement from the Defense Department wasn’t the only money she received from the government for Casey’s death. At least one former military official noted last month before Casey’s tombstone was installed that Sheehan was the beneficiary of a $250,000 Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI) policy. And legal documents filed in the divorce case of Patrick and Cindy Sheehan show that there was another Prudential Life Insurance policy (no. 43520001432577) paid at the time of his decease.

What has not been discussed (and Sheehan would be likely never to admit to) is that in addition to having actual funeral expenses reimbursed by the Defense Department and the SGLI and Prudential life insurance policies, Sheehan also received a $100,000 death gratuity from the government to cover miscellaneous expenses not covered by the DoD reimbursement. The $100,000 death gratuity is paid to all deaths in the line of duty retroactive to October 7, 2001, the beginning of post-9/11 military operations in Afghanistan.

That’s $350,000 bucks…The Peace Mom recieved shortly after her son’s death. What is she bitching about? Why didn’t she get a stone on her son’s grave? She went around the country chiming her intent to not pay taxes on her income- even when this income was tax free. She laid herself across graves that had no headstones- and allowed Vanity Fair to run an article on her anti war shit. She’s a fucking morOn mom.

One has only had to follow Sheehan’s anti-war activism over the past year to reasonably conclude that the money paid to Cindy Sheehan has been going to finance her globetrotting activist lifestyle. Yes, while Casey Sheehan’s grave went unmarked, his mother was spending the money given to her to pay for his funeral expenses having tea parties with Third-World tinpot dictators, like her BFF, Comrade Hugo Chavez.

Sheehan the Shit head doesn’t deserve any respect. It’s clear that she has used her son’s death for her own benefit-for her own cry baby, pay-attention-to-me, three ring circus. The old gas bag speaks well for her leftist friends.

  1. Jason Miller Says:

I cut her a little more slack than most on the right do. Is she acting like a crazy bitch? Yeah, I guess so, but she lost her son. Maybe she’s just taking it really hard. What she should probably do instead is drinkg.

  2. Big Dog Says:

I think if anyone checks into it they will find that the DOD provides a head stone for all service member graves.

“The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a government headstone or marker for the grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world. The VA may provide a headstone or marker only for graves that are not marked with a private headstone.

So she could have had the marker and pocketed the 350 grand. Remember, Cindy Sheehan is responsible for the death of her son.

  3. Timmah420 Says:

I think you and everyone who sees fit to attack that woman who has lost so much, need serious help.

There’s nothing wrong with attacking the political merits of her ideas, but to be so vitriolic and personal, that’s just unhealthy.

    It’s downright sick in fact.

  4. Raven Says:

Jason: I just can’t muster any sympathy for her. I have tried…her actions overide any nice thoughts I may have for her. She makes me want to be sick. I truly believe she is using her son’s death for her own personal gain. I don’t think she ever really cared that he died. Harsh? yes. But her actions cause me to think this.

  5. Raven Says:

Timmah, you and people of your political leanings personally attack people like me all the time. It’s the way of it now a days. Its ok when you’re spewing it out, but have it go your way and it’s a different story.

As for Cindy Shithead- my previous comment says how I feel. She is using her son’s death for her own fame, fortune and personal gain. She deserves no respect or sympathy from me.

  6. Timmah420 Says:

If your son died in a war, and you continued to get up onto your dilapitated soap box and screech to everyone who would listen about how great the war is and how wonderful your son was to understand that and what a gee golly good job Bush was doing, I sure as fuck wouldn’t accuse you of using your son’s death to get money and fame. And neither would she.

I might attack your political ideas, but that other shit is off limits to anyone with a speck of empathy in their soul. Learn the difference, and next time you might come off a little less evil. Either that or enjoy your role as another loudmouth slowly destroying what role civil debate has left in your withering democracy.

  7. Joey's Aunt Janet Says:

Our Marine Joey was killed in Iraq last year. Joey has a headstone and a tree and a cement bench. Everyone in our family still grieves for him. But his parents saw to it that what he deserved at his death was done.
No excuse for this military mom. Shame shame. You should take yourself home and finish what you were suppose to do for your child. If you died he would have done the right things for you.
Casey, you and Joey are togather in heaven. Even with no headstone, God knows where you are. Love to both of you, Aunt Janet
