Get the Times where they’ll feel it

Since the NYT feels no harm was done when they disclosed our secret, legal, legit SWIFT program- why not do some HARM to the NYT. Where it could hurt them: Their BANK ACCOUNT!!
Chester did some digging and came up with some people who finance the Times. (And he didn’t break any laws seeking this info, it all there at Yahoo Finance!!)
Fortunately for all of you who are as shocked as I am, it turns out that the details of how the New York Times finances its own operations are not secret at all. In fact, The New York Times is owned by a public company, known as The New York Times Company, trading as NYT on the New York Stock Exchange.
I just spent a few fruitful moments on Yahoo Finance and discovered some basic information that may be of interest to many of you readers out there. On the major holdings page, we learn that a significant percentage of the New York Times’ stock is held by institutions and mutual funds: 83%, quite a large chunk. Those institutions, especially the mutual funds, are in turn owned by none other than many of you Loyal Readers out there. You might want to find out if you own a little piece of the New York Times in your own 401K or IRA. Take a look at the largest mutual fund holders:

Just like I told you about the immigration issue, you can’t do anything about it. Noone will listen to you and no one cares, and there are tons of reasons why, not least of which is that you are crazy and ignorant.

Timmah, people have unsubscribed from the Times in droves this week- their membership has gone down.

Yeah, and how much money do you regularly spend at those large firms? and you have a subscription right?
Then stop yapping about how much of a difference you’ll make, the most you’ll accomplish, and I mean literally the most is that you’ll get to yell at some intern or receptionist and maybe feel big about yourself for a few minutes.
Then the fear of muslims will set in again…
