It's soooo much easier to ride on someone elses coat tails. In fact, I wouldn't even call And Rightly SO a "blog", in that it's not a "I fed my cat friskies at 3:00 thiws afternoon" type biographical log, the word has just redefined itself over time.I too have to have off post exchanges with folks that happen to have blogs, usually about trivial, personal, or otherwise non-blog theme related stuff, but I call it correspondence. The problem I've seen in circles that "blog hit whore" circles that are obvious about it is there is always an inevitable "alpha", and animated discourse becomes ultimately lost in the resulting echo chamber.
