I haven't had a drop of alcohol in over twelve years, so the coffee probably substitutes for that. However, when I was doing Russian language radio intercept work in Turkey during the early 1960's, we worked shifts and coffee was what kept us going through the long nights while the Russians were all home sleeping off their vodka. I had the longest patch cord to my headsets of anyone working in the security compound, so I could refill my coffee cup without missing a transmission. Raven
