Calling him on his slur of our troops in the field.

Posted by Heather on October 31st, 2006

Senator Frist:

While America’s servicemen and women are fighting and dying against our adversaries in the global War on Terror, John Kerry has the gall to criticize their intelligence, their education, and their motivation for service. His comments represent the absolute worst in Democrat scare tactics and present a grave insult to our all-volunteer Armed Forces.

Senator Kerry clearly owes an apology to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines serving in Iraq. But Mr. Kerry has refused to do so. Instead, he’s claiming that Republicans are “desperately distorting” his comments. Watch the video yourself … it is perfectly clear what Mr. Kerry said … what’s unclear is whether Mr. Kerry ever means what he says. Perhaps he was against his comments before he actually made them.

And Senator Kerry is falsely claiming that Republicans “love to attack those who did [serve in war].” The truth is that Senator Kerry served honorably in Vietnam over 35 years ago, but he’s not immune from criticism today. Republicans aren’t “questioning his patriotism,” but we are calling him on his slur of our troops in the field.

Having just returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, I can tell you that the American troops I met were hard-working, intelligent, and dedicated to victory. Maybe the reason that John Kerry is so eager to accept defeat in the War on Terror is that he doesn’t share my opinion of our fighting men and women.

Written by Bill Frist, M.D.

I demand and call for Senator Kerry to not only apologize to our military but to President Bush as well; and he needs to resign at once. He took it too far this time and he does not deserve the honor of being an elected official any longer. Imagine this man being our President? The obvious contempt he feels towards our military is not healthy for this country.

I’m a Navy vet and Kerry’s comments have pissed me off to no end.

I’m sending a letter today to his office asking for a full and complete apology, and also suggesting he resign. He is an embarrassment to the Senate.

  4. Armand Says:

That Senator’s blog is now deleting comments left by us service members.

It just goes to show what he and his ilk truly think about us soldiers.

    And that’s no “botched” joke.

I have the gun and the ammo….why waste taxpayer dollars on this idiot and freak of nature?

I second third and fourth to infinity the call for his resignation. This assclown needs to GO!

  6. Raven Says:

I hope he went too far this time. He pissed off a lot of people. Not just GOP, but Dems too.

If this is any indication of how he feels about the military (and we all know it is how he feels and worse) we CANNOT allow this asssucker to become President.
