A liberal is a person whose interests aren’t at stake at the moment.
Willis Player
1832 – The first streetcar went into operation in New York City, NY. The vehicle was horse-drawn and had room for 30 people.
1851 – Herman Melville’s novel “Moby Dick” was first published in the U.S.
1881 – Charles J. Guiteau’s trial began for the assassination of U.S. President Garfield. Guiteau was convicted and hanged the following year.
1889 – New York World reporter Nellie Bly (Elizabeth Cochrane) began an attempt to surpass the fictitious journey of Jules Verne’s Phileas Fogg by traveling around the world in less than 80 days. Bly succeeded by finishing the journey the following January in 72 days, 6 hours and 11 minutes.
1922 – The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) began domestic radio service.
I view politics thus: I am a patriot, I believe in the Constitution as it was written and I cherish my liberty, but when I watch our political leaders, the people my fellow Americans and I vote into office do what politicians do, I must admit I get a big charge out of much of it. You get streetwise, you find you see through all the passionate bullshit the politicians project from their rostrums and you laugh when they make what they, and the vast majority of those reading their quotes or listening to them speak take completely to heart.
…he probably belongs behind bars. George Soros funded C.R.E.W. says that Nancy Pelosi has already reneged on her promise to clean up the House by backing John Murtha for Majority Leader. They won’t be issuing a similar statement on any of the other campaign promises that have evaporated in the few days since the Dems won. Like promising to not cut & run on Iraq.
The dems have been gloating and grinning from ear to ear all the while backtracking on their demands for immediate withdrawal of troops. Now they are going to form a committee to form a committee to select a sub-committee to consider what committee should oversee a committee that will form a committee to start considering what might should be done in Iraq. That committee will look at all the options and submit it to a committee that will consider if it is ready for submiting to a committee that will evaluate it before sending it to the committee that will evaluate it before submitting it to the committee that will approve it before submitting it to the committee that will submit it to the House for approval before voting on whether or not to consider those options. Then once the options are figured all out, they will start the committee dance with culling the options down to the most viable. And on and on.
Heh.
Let me be perfectly clear here. The author is just a small sample of the type of people who have stolen the heart of the Democratic Party and whose fondest dream is to make America like Iran or Venezuela.
Isn’t it time for Americans to totally denounce this sickening distortion of reality that this grossly impaired community has led us into? How thick does the shit they throw out have to be before we look at it and smell it for what it is?
This is the left’s “progressive” agenda. And as models for this agenda we are to look at the Iranian and Venezuelan utopias under the direction of their “progressive” leaders.

Wow, great compilation, Raven!
I believe that if they moved the Congressional elections up from 2008 to 2007, by that time the Dems would have already convinced the American public to vote a GOP majority back into both the House and the Senate.
The second year is going to be a long one for a lot of people, chaffing at the bit to get the dems back out.
Oh, yeah… Thanks for the link! :-)
