For All We Have
A table with chairs, that welcome sight
Our family, our friends, pure delightA caring kiss with a gentle smile
Each tender hug lasts that country mileThe presence of love so fills the air
This gift of God brings our hearts so nearReflections of past bring nurtured thought
Great visions come by, what life has taughtIn thankful ways we embrace this day
And often think of loved ones awayThose serving us proud are often gone
But their spirit remains, closely drawnOur Nation should praise each special one
For all we have is through what they’ve doneThe freedom to have Thanksgiving Day
Keeps certain plates bare, please truly pray~©2003 Roger J. Robicheau~

At the lodge we’re at, there are 6 furnace ovens. We cooked 12 of our turkeys in these. Thems a HOT!!! It took just over 3 hours to cook the big 30lb turkeys….the ovens registered at over 900 degrees. A fork is inside each bird to keep it from falling into itself. The stuffing was added the last 45 minutes of cooking. Yummy.
~~~~~~~
Smells SO good. Don’t EVAH say I don’t slave over a HOT stove. Evah.
~~~~~~~
The other turkeys were oven cooked…and these are smaller- 15 lbs birds. For each table.
~~~~~~~
Pecan chocolate bake….VERRRY goood. With whipped cream—->even better.
~~~~~~
…apple nut pie.

Happy Thanksgiving
If I do it right my children might just sit down 30 years from today and write a story about giving thanks for the way their parents brought them up; perhaps not. But I’ll do my best to plant that seed. Having that opportunity is a blessed reminder t…
