Quote for Today
People everywhere confuse what they read in newspapers with news.

  • Hard Astarboard:
  • There they go again! ….it is virtually certain that human emissions are warming the planet.

    Yoda: Virtually certain, they are!

    ….the best evidence now available.

  • Ogre:
  • Why is it that the same people who support killing the unborn and want to kill anyone who isn’t going to have “good quality of life” also support NOT killing convicted murderers who kill innocent people?

  • Big Dog
  • I do not know what idiot wrote this but it is evident that it was some left wing jackass who conveniently forgot how Bill Clinton sold the Lincoln bedroom and accepted large sums of cash for his Presidential trailer library from various entities around the world like Muslims who want to kill us.

    Cotillion:

  • Blue Star Chronicles
  • He is appealing to the lowest common denominater. If he can continue to put out his sound bites and convince ‘the people’ that only the unfortunate are having to fight this war and that the war is ill-conceived, then he can continue to push public attitude against the Republican President.

Whether or not the draft is instituted is irrelevant to his goals. If he keeps making these noises and gets enough publicity for it, he will energize the youth to turn against the war. Turning against the war is turning against the Republican party in the political world.

  • Something…and a Half of Something
  • On November 7, 2006, I voted a straight Republican ticket, despite my misgivings about the direction the Republican party has taken, despite the fact that it has abandoned every one of the conservative values that are the core of my political agenda. I cast my vote based on one issue, the War on Terrorism, despite the fact that I have seen this administration make concessions to and negotiate with terrorists. I did this because anything is better than the cut and run appeasement policy that the democrats stand for. I cast my vote for people who want to do things I am dead set against, such a pro-amnesty Charlie Crist, who, thanks to my vote, is now Governor of my state.
