Many women are as burdened as mail carriers

Thank GAWD I don’t carry a “bag”– a pocketbook of epic proportions.
In the last few years, bags have become ever more voluminous, and as women have fallen sway to their chunky charms, they have filled them up with necessities. These days many women are as burdened as mail carriers.
As a result, reports of shoulder soreness and stiff necks are on the rise and doctors, massage therapists and chiropractors are tailoring treatments for the bag-obsessed.
***sigh*** Women are stupid. If they used their back pockets they would be better off.

When I was in secondry school, I carried all my books around – that bag must have been ten kilos, straining at the zip that eventually broke. It was the easiest way to ensure I couldn’t leave any needed book behind, rather than spend five minutes each day unloading and reloading for the lessons and making mistakes. I didn’t worry about the health risks as I never had to carry it further than the distance from school enterance to the form room.
It also came in very usful as a tool for travel through the corridoors. I am sure whoever designed that school never went to one, as it was full of narrow corridoors, tightly-turning staircases and bottleneck doors. Accidents were frequent.

I have never carried a *bag* so to speak…I don’t own a pocketbook. I do have an old beat up leather back pack that I take on trips. If it doesn’t fit in my pocket, I don’t need it- is my moto.
