Everyone’s getting sick

It’s the time of year where we’re going to be reading a lot about outbreaks of stomach flu. It’s often caused by the infamous Norovirus. I wonder if some of the TACO HELL news is actually this bug and not E coli…
Nearly 400 Eastern Massachusetts elementary school and college students, along with their teachers, have fallen ill in the past week with a nasty viral infection that has emptied classrooms and spawned waves of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Visitors arriving at St. Camillus Health Center were greeted by signs posted Wednesday night saying that some patients had been quarantined. A similar situation was reported at Iroquois Nursing Home. The culprit was traced to a virus causing a gastrointestinal illness.

(WSYR-TV) – A spokesperson for the State Health Department says about two-dozen residents at the Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville and the St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation Center in Syracuse have contracted a gastrointestinal tract infection.

Last week, when I had recovered enough to get to the computer, I looked up Norvovirus. That’s what my husband and I had, I think. It’s rampant right now in the D.C. area.
We didn’t eat out at all several days prior to our getting sick.

You don’t have to eat out to catch NV– it’s NASTY stuff you can catch by touch…ick…nursing homes have been dealing with this for YEARS. Once one gets, they ALL get.
