Kerry Defends Himself

The good (not) Senator Jean Francois Kerrie is trying to justify and defend his latest acts of treason.
WASHINGTON – Senator John F. Kerry yesterday defended his decision to meet with the president of Syria next week and said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice did not try to talk him out of the meeting when they met face-to-face earlier this month to discuss his Middle East trip.
Bush administration officials have said they warned Kerry that his trip to Syria — and those of two other Democratic senators — harms US interests and sends the wrong signal to President Bashar al-Assad of Syria. The administration accuses Syria of fomenting violence in the Middle East.
Mr. Kerrie doesn’t know what American interests are. And they don’t care. So long as the Global Test is passed- so long as the world is happy with the US NOT standing up for the right things, this is when people like Kerrie are content.
But when speaking to reporters from Jordan via a conference call, Kerry said Rice never advised him against meeting with Assad. He added that the White House is wrong to say that talks between senators and the Syrian leader are inappropriate, since keeping an open dialogue between the countries serves an important purpose.
And what purpose would it be? Backstabbing the President? Or undermining the war on terror? Treason…Kerrie knows what it is. He doesn’t care because we allow him to get away with this.
And here’s another Senator who thinks he has special voice to speak for America…
WASHINGTON — Longtime Republican Senator Arlen Specter said he will visit Syria despite loud objections by the Bush administration, saying the situation in Iraq is so dire that it is time Congress step up to the plate and see what it can do.
I don’t like this trend. Since when do measley little members of the US Senate think they can override foreign policy?
