5 Things You Didn’t Know About Me
Posted by Raven on January 9th, 2007
A couple weeks ago Tammy tagged me with the 5 Things Meme….sorry to be late getting to this.
5 Things You DON’T Know About Me
1) I’m an avid reader. I love books. And I own thousands of them. My favorite reads are about history- military and wars; then I love maritime books- fiction and non fiction. My favorite author has to be Patrick O’Brien.
2) I do my own tune ups, oil changes and Jeep maintenance. Cause I like getting all messy with grease and oil and car odors.
3) One of the negative things about me is my habit of fleeing conflict. When times get tough for me, I tend run away and hide. I am a master at ignoring things I don’t want to deal with, and I’m very good at shutting out people I want nothing to do with or who have pissed me off. I’ve built a thick wall around myself as well, and rarely allow people through it.
4) I go against the grain. If something is popular or a big seller, I reject it. I avoid highly rated movies and TV shows and PEOPLE.
I hate IPOD, for example…but luv my Zen. I hated Cameron’s Titanic, but loved the 1958 movie with the same title.
5) I cannot, CANNOT tolerate chaos. I need neat. I need clean. I am a freak when it comes to these things. Everything has it’s place and it better be there when I want it/need it. I am organized right down to my…nevermind…just take my word- neatness is very important to me.
I guess I’m supposed to tag folks with this meme…but since most people don’t like them, I won’t. If you want to write 5 things about yourself no one knows about then do it.

Raven my dear,
Running from problems is not healthly. They don’t go away; they get worse. You’re a strong person. Tackle them head on.
Don’t shut out people you haven’t tried to make peace with first. You will regret this. If you have honestly attempted to make peace to no avail, try again down the road.

When I tackle it head on I drive people away…I’m such a bitch at those times. So getting away isn’t a bad thing. It’s what I need to do.
LOL
Making peace??? I usually do. USUALLY.

Advice:
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Pick and chose those battles.
Stay faithful to your beliefs and instincts.
Don’t sell yourself short to others.
Respect yourself.
One can’t go wrong if they do all of these things.

When the Ipod phone comes out, I will push it, though, it will probably sell itself. Haven’t seen it yet, or played with one, though we will certainly get a demo for store use, but, I prefer either the Blackjack or the 8525. Even the Treo 650. Personally, I like the higher speed internet, which th Ipod phone won’t have.

When it comes out, you should write some sort of review on it.
MAYBE people like me would be more into if it weren’t so…damn…
popular. LOL and if it were a quality product. I find most of Apple’s stuff to be inferior. I went through 2 I PODS and had nothing but trouble with battery issues…my Zen- I CAN CHANGE the battery myself. I CAN GET THE battery at a Wal Mart. No need to send it back and all that bulloney.
