The Hill and Bill Show
Posted by Kim on February 13th, 2007
Over the weekend NH saw Hillary visit using her charm and charisma to attract potential voters…and Obama came as well. It’s going to be interesting to watch these two Democrats outdo one another with their campaigns. While Hillary rides on her husbands coat tails, Obama speaks to an energized crowd at UNH:
DURHAM – In his first major campaign event in the state since announcing his candidacy for president on Saturday, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama touted his message of change last night to a 3,000-strong crowd at the University of New Hampshire.
The energy was intense as Obama entered like an American Idol contestant taking the stage, and the Democrat did not disappoint, beginning his speech with something similar to a short stand-up routine to woo the crowd.
He’s got star power, for some reason. Maybe it was the venue, a college campus where young liberal kids seek politicians who think like them?
She DID mention her husband many times. IS this part of her strategy? To use Bill’s credentials as part of her qualifications to be President?
That should work out very well indeed. After keeping Bill on a short leash and a high shelf ever since leaving the White House in 2001, now Hillary wants to push him out onto the stage — to demonstrate his “emotional support”. Would that have been the “emotional support” that he has shown her in the midst of the bimbo eruptions of his campaign and his Presidency?
One thing is certain- Hillary did not attract the same level of fans. She mustered barely an audience compared to Obama.
Perhaps it was supposed to be this way. Hillary cannot have it both ways: She cannot run for office using her own qualifications and experience as proof that she is ready to lead this country; yet, if she uses her husband’s time in office she stands to bring back some bad memories for many people. The constant scandals and womanizing that forever plagued Bill, will come back to haunt Hillary now if she goes down this road. I’m not sure she can overcome this dark shadow.

I’m suspect the Dems’ ticket will be Shrillary with Obama as her veep. Break two glass ceilings with one rock, if you will: end the good ol’ white boy monopoly on 1600 Penn’s Woods Ave and make the now-unelectable Obama electable for 2016 by giving him 8 years penultimacy. The frightening thing is that so far the RNC has nothing to counter with except Romney (unelectable flip-flopper), McCain (RINO), and Giuliani (completely unpalatable to ultra conservatives by his gun and abortion stances). Newt is just so damned easy to dislike, prob’ly ’cause he’s so damned smart.
Is penultimacy a legitimate word?

erols,
If he can gain some traction and get some money I think Tom Tancredo could win. Duncan Hunter is another alternative but he has the same roadblocks as Tancredo.
Right now, McCain is popular and so is Rudy. Both give in to much to the left. RINOS big time.
I don’t see Billary and Obama sharing the glory and limelight, but if means votes, they will both do whatever they can. They’re going to have to start getting along really soon if they want to share the Lincoln bedroom bed.
