President Bush better not defend the United States.
“If the administration believes that any, any use of force against Iran is necessary, the president must come to Congress to seek that authority.”

This is one of he very few times when “Hilla-the-Hun” (my sister’s term) is correct. The Constitution vests the power to declare war and the power of the purse in the Congress. As a reserve officer (captain, USAF, retired), I am sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution that makes it so. We do not live in a military dictatorship (Hillary wouldn’t mind being the dictator, though).
Sadly, the Demoncrats`are going to make us wait until the public tells Congress to take care of Iran. That will be just after Iran hits us with a major whack, like an EMP nuke high in the sky that wipes out our power grid. Sad but true: that’s what it will take.

Yes but in a time of imminent attack or the threat of such, the POTUS can authorize the deployment of troops anywhere he choses, without notification to Congress.
I get annoyed with Billary because she and her elk would never allow any defense of this country- even as nukes were dropping over our cities.

It appears as though Congress, under the non leadership of the Lemoncrats (TM) will be controlling the military.
