A, B, C Questions, Answered

Posted by Raven on February 26th, 2007

Ok here are my answers to the three questions asked by eros total, civil truth and FbL.

eros total
Three questions –

1. What nations are doing things better than the United States? Follow-up question: If the US is so hosed up, why do so damned many people want to come here from all over the world?
No nation is doing as well as the US. Not one. When you say things, I take it to mean all things: Culture, medicine, technology, all industries, economies…and I still say NO OTHER country comes close. If anything, while we’re advancing by leaps and bounds in all these areas, other nations are going backwards.

2. Why do people who come here to escape brutal, incompetent, inefficient regimes which oppress and stifle them try to establish the same conditions here that they initially ran away from?
Because it’s fashionable to trash America. While it’s ok to live the dreams and take advantage of the fruits of this great country, its not politically correct to enjoy those things openly. SO, live the good life and speak bad of those who are just like YOU. And pray you don’t get caught living that life cause everyone will know what a hypocrite you are.
Actually, people who are from truly brutal countries tend to LOVE this country and speak well of it. They will bear arms to protect. They will assimilate our culture. They are very grateful people.

3. Why do the majority of liberals so desperately need for Bush policies to fail, even if that failure will bring disaster to the US and its allies?
BDS. People HATE President Bush so much they cannot see through their blindness. They PRAY his policies won’t work or have an impact. And they sabotage his every effort. Liberals are total hypocrites too because they of all people will benefit the most from Bush’s ideas and policies. As for national security- they HATE WAR. They hate anything related to it.

Questions for Raven:

1) Is there really enough snow where you live to ride around in your new snowmobile, or will you have to drive to the snow?
There is enough snow to go out and enjoy some rides up the small local mountains and trails…but not enough to get out and JUST GO, really fast, without worry of coming up to a grassy knowl or slush patch. So I will travel to Maine where the good, deep fresh snow is.

2) Considering the three great dystopian novels of the mid-20th century Brave New World, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, which one of these now seems closest to the direction Western civilization is headed?
I think the West is heading in the direction of total annialation, and I didn’t read these books so I can’t speak to them. Too many of us are to scared to call our enemies for what they really are. And in the end, this will destroy freedom and the countries where freedom exists.

3) Did you ever imagine that your life would turn out the way it has, as opposed to what you thought growing up?
Honestly there were many times in my youth that I thought I would never live to be 18. I almost died of a drug overdose. More often than not I assumed I would end up dead in some alley in Salt Lake City. And I accepted that fate and just didn’t care. Drugs do that to a person.

When I was little I always wanted to be an astronaut, LOL. I loved science and all things related to it…it wasn’t until I ended up in a coma for three months did I realize my calling: nursing. I never thought of working in nursing until then. I may have been in that coma but I remember every word, good, bad and ugly, the nurses spoke. I remember the passion and care and concern from some; and the cruelty and meanness of others, as well. I decided that I would never be that negative, whining uninspiring Nazi nurse that so many of them turn out to be. And I chose to work with younger people who are experiencing what I have- living in that world between life and death. It’s hard work, that will break your heart and challenge your mind; it’s brutal on your body and soul, nursing. But the rewards are something that cannot be measured in money and wealth and similar things.

I’m proud of where I have been and where I’ve come. And I intend to live the rest of my life as though tomorrow were my last day! Enjoying it. Relishing each moment for what it is. And having little regret.

Questions:

1. How are your studies going?
HARD. The material in the pre- pre courses makes nursing study look like grade school work. I haven’t had any trouble, so far with any of the conceptual theories and lessons, but I do see where that time could come where I will need to really dig deep to GET IT. We’re under a heavy gun too. Everyone MUST get an A, or they are OUT. Period. They don’t accept anything less and that is stressful. The reports have to be perfect, in the proper sequence and format. The case studies are mind boggling. And the lab work, identifying muscles and ligaments and tendons and bone, by touch only, is difficult to say the least. In the finals, we have to identify them all, blindfolded, normal tissue and diseased tissues.
The human body is amazing, that I have always known. These studies showing how the brain makes our bodies work, physically, is just out of this world. With all the knowledge they have, we still know SO little.

2. What do you think is the greatest problem in this country?
The threat of radical Islam. I really do believe the Islamafreakoids are the enemy of our time and will be for generations to come. I also think liberals, Lemoncrats, Democrats, are also a major threat to this country.
I’ve been thinking- who is more of a threat really: The enemy we fight in Iraq and the middle east, or the Americans here at home who are going out of their way to make sure radical Islam wins. IS there a difference between Al Qaida and the Democrats?

3. What are you most grateful?
My KIDS…always come first for me. No matter what.
For life. My family. My friends. My health. My work.

THANK YOU all for the questions. Every now and again a good meme comes across the net and it’s fun to participate. It makes for a lighter post at times, and it makes for some thought and that is always a GOOD thing.

    Yes, I know.
    Hard on the patients, too.

  4. Raven Says:

I know…the patients are the ones who DO all the work in this field.
