Creating sperm from women
Posted by Raven on April 13th, 2007
Imagine this:
Women might soon be able to produce sperm in a development that could allow lesbian couples to have their own biological daughters, according to a pioneering study published today.
Scientists are seeking ethical permission to produce synthetic sperm cells from a woman’s bone marrow tissue after showing that it possible to produce rudimentary sperm cells from male bone-marrow tissue.
Just another way to lesson the need for men in the world. No thanks.
Creating sperm from women would mean they would only be able to produce daughters because the Y chromosome of male sperm would still be needed to produce sons. The latest research brings the prospect of female-only conception a step closer.
Messing with Mother Nature always comes back to haunt us. Will we ever learn?

Only daughters? More Lesbians…. great… as long as they’re the hot, lipstick kinda….
BTW, why “create” sperm, when you can just go to the bank and pick up a “deposit”?

Yeah you wish Duncan…
Why not just be with a (gasp) man???? THAT is what I would do if I wanted a baby! The natural way…

The enlightened lesbians of this world are mentally ill IMO…lol sexually speaking that is. We won’t go there. Here. Right now.
I rely on a man for many of my needs and dammit I’m proud of it.
I NEED A MAN to make me feel whole.
IF I wanted more babies I would certainly chose a man over THIS…
And his sperm too- HIS sperm from HIM and not some bank or bone marrow. lol
ok I have to ask…HOW would a woman impregnate another woman?? Not through any sexual activity. All test tubed?? ICK. No thanks. Gimme a man ANYDAY!!!!!!!!!

the folly of man”

If women end up creating their own sperm and don’t need men, does this mean we can watch the game without being bothered?
Thanks in advance.

Weebs it means men can do what they want without women. Including figuring out how to please themselves…sexually. HA!
We won’t need your lot no more! Well, some of us WILL always need men.
The vast majority of women though? no. Hate to say.

Raven, I’m 38 years old. I figured that out a looooong time ago.
At this stage of my life I just want to watch the game in peace.

Im no biologist, but I suspect… its just a feeling, but there are a lot of genes on Y that are not on X, and I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those genes are required to make a properly functioning sperm cell. In which case, this might be impossible anyway.
If it does work though… nifty trick! Lesbians have a few options for children already. Adoption, the sperm bank, or get a friend to donate some (Via natural means or assisted). Or a male relative of the non-pregnent partner, so they have some genetic link. Though that can lead to awkward situations :>
One advantage they have… no accidential children. If a lesbian couple is having a child, then you can be sure its wanted, not an accident they are unprepared for.

Hey Weebs…lol…that is why women become lesbians. Their men don’t want to do anything with them except…well you know…and the game becomes more important than anything else. Women get bored. They need that emotional connection that is so often missing. I think, seriously this is why so many relationships end.

SR you have a good point there.
I wonder if the lesbian created kiddies will have imperfections though, that would require, of course, abortion as remedy?
