Marine sacrifices self saving two boys

A U.S. Marine drowned after saving two children who were swimming off Atlantic Beach in North Carolina, the military said.
Master Sgt. Michael Wert, an intelligence chief for the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at Cherry Point in Havelock, N.C., was vacationing this past weekend with his family at the beach when he saw two boys struggling in the surf, the Marines said in a statement.
He didn’t give his life storming the beach or dispatching America’s enemies straight to Hades. Nope. This man gave his life to save two children. I respect the Marine’s more and more each time I hear this kinda story.

Another hero.
Why can’t the world have more men like this? Have we become anti-hero lately? I think so…not all heroes die. But those who do become legends.
Marine or not.

No, not all heroes die. But there is something about the total disregard for self that not every person possesses. That is a characteristic of a hero, for sure…
