THIS is how bloggers can make a difference. Exposing Senate back room wheels and deals.
Once again, the Senate — supposedly the world’s greatest deliberative body — appears poised to rush bad public policy without any deliberative process at all. Grassley and Baucus should do their homework and allow for hearings and analysis on this legislation … or better yet, stop looking for taxes to raise and start looking for spending to cut.
Shocker? Not really.
MINNEAPOLIS — For years, the unionized teaching profession opposed few ideas more vehemently than merit pay, but those objections appear to be eroding as school districts in dozens of states experiment with plans that compensate teachers partly based on classroom performance.
Illegal Parasites starting fires to create smokescreens. Who says they’re not criminals?
Corn, ethanol and inflation.
Union dues and politics.
Jim Webb FINALLY admits the GUN was his, after all. What a man of integrity.
Most expensive cities. In the world.
THIS hospital SHOULD be closed. It’s a matter of public health and safety.
Should women just settle for any man? Absolutely NOT. Be picky. Be choosy. It’s your life.
This happens often in nursing homes. Especially those run by Life Care Centers and other for profits. Be very careful where you place your loved ones and if you can, KEEP THEM AT HOME.

Maybe the Senate should just turn off the C-SPAN cameras and do EVERYTHING in secret.
Then again, maybe they should just go home so that the money in our wallets and purses isn’t stolen by them and our nation doesn’t suffer irreversible damage do to the McCain/Kennedy/Bush nation-busting ‘comprehensive’ immigration reform bill they want to shove down our throats.
