Well it poured here yesterday until late afternoon, when it cleared up and the sun shone...and now it looks like it's gonna be a great day for a hike! in fact a perfect day.

Believe it: In the next week or so it's going to snow on Mt Washington...it starts early up there and lasts well into the spring. I'm doing a winter hike in February LOL..

And JD of course we work...Duncan is training.

And I am getting back into the swing of it. I earned almost an entire YEAR of paid time off- thanks to working 100 hour weeks for a year! So I took advantage of all that paid time off...and I also took a check for some of that as well. I worked doubles 6 days a week for nearly a year so I deserve a summer of goofing off and traveling.
hell yeah!

Yeah. You would think that that would be the case, both the miles and the work. But today is a weekend after all.

Anyways.. I only hiked about six miles today. I wasn't prepared for any serious inclement weather, and the sun was in and out as well as some showers, so I didn't want to hike all the way up to the top of Whiteface Mountain, I just hiked to the Whiteface Landing on Lake Placid. And I got a really nice picture. However, I didn't bring the required cable to download said picture to my laptop. Real smooth of me, I know.... oh well... I plan to go tomorrow and hike all the way to the top. The weather will be better and I plan to get an early start so I can get the 12 miles in round trip...
