those who don’t want the Dream Act to be passed;;should reconsider their not WANTING!why?because all that we want is study, work, and overall benefit your fuking famous AMERICA!…
if america was to depend on next generation of students to be America’s future..damn i dont know what fucked up future would america have!……the us standards as of now,aint even close to been in tops,as passing the DREAm ACT:the us standards will boost up dramatically and the economy will benefit in a large amount..do not be ignorant!!….without US “AMERICA” would not b SHIT…….

And if want statistics Cesar, just go online and look it up it is all over the internet. Such as shoplifting down 67.8% for the day and the LAPD reported 82% reduction in auto theft, 78% reduction in vandalism and tagging, , 48% in violent crime…..and so on!

Folks it doesn’t matter at this time anymore. The Dream Act was removed from the Defense Bill today and perhaps it will be debated in November. Or not. Either way it has no chance of passing.

The children of illegal immigrants are just one more victim of the criminal activity of their parents- the crime being entering the US ILLEGALLY. Of course it’s not their fault…as it’s not the fault of hard working ethical and honest AMERICAN citizens who are being asked to FOOT the bill the parents of ILLEGALS should be footing. Sorry I have no compassion on this. Why should we pay for our own kids education AS WELL AS ILLEGALS’ kids? We should not. And there are more than enough of us who have been heard.

Janne I understand your fustration, but if you really think that your conviction is “right” then act on it and be a Real AMERICAN and vote and call your senators. If you vote then your voice will be heard, if not STOP WHINING.
And again I remark that behind your “PATRIOTISM” lies a immigrant foundation, whether legal or not. All human beings are immigrants to this nation, but if you are really are an American, as Abraham Lincoln stated that an American is not one who lives here the longest, but the one that believes in Justice, Equality, Opportunity and Freedom.
And here is something you should reflect on, there are less American Citizens who know their history than you can imagine, and I hardly would call these people worthy of Citizenship.
This mentality is going to be the demise of this great nation, the animosity and resentment towards others will inexorably lead to the United States fall, another nation among all the EMPIRES in history, it rose to become a beacon of hope and it will die a violent death (I suggest you read how the Roman Empire Fell)
Another point to consider, is Hesiod the Greek Poet wrote in Days and Works, that a successful and prosperous nation is a nation that welcomes foreigners, the welcoming serves to provide security and protection of the nations resources and inhabitants.
Furthermore, in the New York Times, there is an article about how a town in New Jersey is regretting for passing an ordinance that imposes penalties on homeowners and business for hiring and renting to “illegal authorities”. The town is in bankrupt due to the closing of business as well as the legal cost that it incurred during the process. It now overturned it and now is working to revitalize its town (in other words welcoming immigrants again)

So here I presented my argument and if you wish to argue back please do your research and as JohnnyFaz eloquently states that “Don’t have a knee-jerk response to the word “illegal immigrant””.

How many times do I have to repeat myself that the target of the legislation are illegal immigrant students who came here before age of 16, currently under the age of 30, graduated from U.S. high school AND is going to U.S. university/have graduated from U.S. university? Why are you repeating “we can’t let those illegals in!”? That’s not the issue here. Quit deflecting with slogans and actually make an argument.

This is your original quote. It implies that 1. Illegal immigrants are ruining southern California and 2. if you don’t live in Southern California, you don’t know how bad illegal immigrant problem is.

My response was 1. general illegal immigrant problem ISN’T the issue (for the hundred and eighth time), quit deflecting with slogans. and 2. my hometown is Mesa, ARIZONA, where illegal immigrant problem is as severe as any region in Southern California.
