Oh! Canada: I’m a Refugee from Mexico

The parasites are running north. Illegal immigrants in the US live in enough fear of being caught and deported they are burning some trails- right into Canada. And they’re seeking refugee status.
WINDSOR, Ontario, Sept. 20 — Fleeing stepped-up sweeps by the American authorities, illegal immigrants to the United States, mostly Mexican, are arriving in growing numbers at the foot of the bridge in this Canadian border town seeking refugee status.
Still more immigrants, mostly Mexicans living illegally in Florida, have begun trying to make their way past America’s northern border at other locations, the majority of them flying into the airport in Toronto, Canadian officials said Thursday.
The arrivals here began suddenly three weeks ago, just a family or two at first, fueled by the notion — largely unfounded, the authorities here say — that Canada would grant them asylum.
The journey, some of the immigrants said, was first suggested by an organization in Naples, Fla., which charged a fee for assisting with the paperwork. Now the idea has spread on the Internet and through social networks.
Will Canada welcome the parasites refugees?
Advocates for immigrants issued urgent warnings to Mexicans pondering similar journeys, and expressed fury at groups that were encouraging them. In truth, refugee status for Mexican citizens is relatively unusual in Canada. Only 28 percent of such claims by Mexicans were approved in Canada last year, compared with 47 percent of claims from all nationalities.
I thought a refugee was someone fleeing a country with barbaric human rights abuses, political abuse and the like. Oh, I guess the parasites in the US think all this is true.
Illegal immigrants have been especially frightened of deportation in recent months, people in Naples and surrounding Collier County said. The community has been filled with tales of immigrants’ being caught and deported and the sending of government letters to employers warning them not to employ illegal immigrants.
Uh huh…it’s not happening fast enough or in high enough numbers to make even a minuscule difference here in the US, these deportations…and businesses will do anything and everything to keep illegals employed. I don’t know what the parasites are really scared of.
Although Mexicans who have lived in the United States are permitted to seek asylum in Canada, they will be deported to Mexico if they are turned down.
Several lawyers said they were pessimistic about these immigrants’ odds of being granted asylum, a process that can take 6 months to 2 years. Even so, most of the Mexicans here said they were hopeful. They spent Thursday looking for apartments to move into, cleaning out cars, filling out paperwork.
“Maybe they’ll have compassion for us,” Manuel Gonzalez, 46, said of his request for asylum. “All we want to do is live and follow the rules and work hard.” Referring to the help Canadian authorities have already given them, Mr. Gonzalez, who traveled from Naples, said, “What we didn’t have in the United States we had here in a second.”
Ahh no article about the parasites would be complete without the “Have some compassion!!” for us statement. And of course the “We’ll work hard” mantra. Yep…how will the Canadians feel when they start to lose their jobs to the illegals; and how will they feel when they’re tax dollars go to the health and well being of illegals- Canada’s health care system is crumbling apart as it is.
Meanwhile across the pond in France, the new leadership is seeking to clamp down on immigration because France can’t afford it.
PARIS — The National Assembly approved tough new restrictions on immigration yesterday, completing a major step in President Nicolas Sarkozy’s program to roll up a famously well-trodden welcome mat.
The bill, which still needs Senate approval and a second vote in the Assembly, requires would-be immigrants for the first time to demonstrate a knowledge of the French language and cultural values.
Its most controversial clauses provide for voluntary DNA testing of applicants seeking to show they are related to current French residents, and legalize some data gathering based on race and ethnicity.
The bill is largely driven by a public perception that the flow of unskilled workers into France contributes to high unemployment and strains the nation’s social welfare system. Such fears were crystallized by weeks of riots in suburban areas populated mainly by Muslim and African immigrants in the fall of 2005.
It’s not a matter of public perception. It’s fact. Immigration does effect employment, skilled and unskilled. Pay, benefits, job security are all altered when we have the presence of immigrants. France’s issue here is with LEGAL immigrants. The new rules are prompting threats that the legals will simply invade this nation illegally. Will France take a stand on this? Or will the bleed hearted people allow it to happen? Time will tell. I do hope they look at whats happening in the US as they make choices.

All French Canadians will be required to learn spanish to accomodate the illegals moving into their province. And before too long the province of Alberta will be renamed Juarez and will take the place of lowly california a former US state as the place to infest. And the swarm moves northward.

This is what happens when people can’t think straight about race. I’m sure everyone’s heard of “La Raza”, but most people don’t take it literally. The whole basis of La Raza, it seems, is that the entire American continents rightfully belong to Indians (full-blooded or not). The theory about “Aztlan” as revenge for the Mexican War is just a fig leaf. Leftists want to “give North America back” to the Indians by gradual extinction of whites, combined with massive immigration of Mexicans of Indian blood.
At least that’s my theory!

John there is a certain amount of harsh truth to what you say. I have heard of La Raza and know what it means; not all illegals are a part of this movement originally- but many join when they reach America.

John, I’ve read evidence that at least some element of La Raza are hispanic chauvinists. However, jeremiads about dilution of white blood and implicit appeals to racial purity are repulsive to me, as they evoke recent (and less recent) history of ethnic cleansings, genocide, and/or the rise of psychotic nations such as North Korea.

There are those in the La Raza movement that believe that the best way to take over the southwest is to out migrate and out breed…. with no intention of assimilating into American society but simply moving the border north….

I’m a Canuck & can tell you I’m the most compassionate of people; more than willing to accept immigrants to this great country of mine, but if I as a citizen am expected to abide by the rules that govern society, then I expect those immigrating to do the same. “Maybe they’ll have compassion for us,” Manuel Gonzalez, says of his request for asylum. “All we want to do is live and follow the rules and work hard.” In my books Mr. Gonzalez you should have ‘followed the rules’ before you arrived at my border. Arriving under false pretenses, with bogus paperwork just ticks me off no end sure stretches the concept of generosity and compassion. Not only are we Canucks expected to keep quiet while elected officials take a ‘wait & see’ attitude, we get to pay for the privilege of housing, feeding, clothing, educating, etc. Mr. Gonzalez and his kin while the govt hears their ‘refugee’ claim – a process that could take up to 2 years from the latest I’m hearing. What a pile of crock! I’m usually pretty even-tempered about things, but this has got my goat so much I just fired off a letter to the Minister of Immigration and my Member of Parliament. There are just some things in life that are right & wrong and this is wrong!
