The fatal flaw of a “Bambi” foreign policy

Reading about the hearings today on Blackwater, it’s hard not to sense an appeasing longing from a number of Lemoncrats™ (and their fellow-traveller Defeaticans™) that if we just pull out and bring our troops home, if we just leave our enemies alone and don’t stir them up by confronting them and show that what nice people we are, they will just stop hating us and not bother us any more, allowing us to graze peacefully in our meadow.
Of course that may work for some time while our enemies gobble us those weaker than them (including those who trusted our promises to protect them). But as this video demonstrates, such an approach has inevitable consequences.
After all, not everyone who lives in the world shares our values and plays by the same rules:

I wish that video had better music, such as the song Godzilla by Blue Oyster Cult.

The original film was made in 1969, a bit before Blue Oyster Cult’s time. I hadn’t thought about it in years until some synapse got triggered earlier today.

Excellent!
Reminds me of a thought a friend had…that the left so wants to go back to pre 9-11- in the days when Superman lived and Spider Man could save the world.
Sorry, Superman, Spidey and Bambi aren’t real. Hollywood can’t save America and neither can daydreaming about those innocent days before the attacks.
They will get what they want though..the left.
Speaking of Blackwater- I feel a bombardment of assumed guilt here once again. Like our Marines, many are playing jury and judge to the people who worked for BW- the words of Iraqis are being taken over American citizens. I don’t trust it. And I sure as hell don’t trust the Iraqis who are well known to be insurgents in disguise.
