Joe Wilson Needs to come Clean

Well well. The roosters come home to cockle their sordid and sorry tales…and the chickens listen to it all and accept it as truth.

Columnist Robert Novak said Saturday Ambassador Joe Wilson did not forcefully object to the naming of his CIA operative wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, when Novak spoke to him prior to the publication of a column that sparked a federal investigation and sent White House aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby to jail.

“He was not terribly exercised about it,” Novak said.

He sure got excited about it after though now didn’t he? In fact he made such a fuss it created a government investigation at our expense. Old Joe Trcikster claimed President Bush and company “revealed” the identity of his wife and her so called super sekrit job at the CIA…even though her name was listed in some WHO’S WHO book AS WELL AS HER JOB.

Novak forcefully defended his handling of the column and the legal wrangling that surrounded the special counsel investigation in a seminar on the CIA leak case at the 2007 Society of Professional Journalists Convention.

“It was an off-hand remark to a question I asked in an interview I requested,” Novak said. “This was not a conspiracy in the federal government to go after Valerie Plame Wilson.”

Well according to those who believe in these things, this was all a planned scripted outing of a woman who had little clout at Foggy Bottom; the evil BusHitler empire was out to get her and Old Joe as punishment or, retaliation, for his very un-comprehensive report into the Nigerian/Yellowcake stuffs (PDF). Those who live in this world of tinfoil hats also believe Old Joe’s fairy tales he published in his book; AND we can bet the upcoming movie will be a big hit to the TinFoilers.

Too bad these people cannot live in the real world- where even the very Commission who investigated Wilson’s claims found no wrong doing; found no evil conspiracy; found no wrong doing by Bush or the Vice President or the Empire. Sometimes people just have to accept that they are “victims” of their own conspiracies and nether-nether land, X File like paranoia. Of course it’s difficult to do this when one doesn’t recognize themselves as having such delusional ailments.

The man’s report wasn’t substantial. It didn’t prove anything. It wasn’t accurate. Like a little spoiled brat, he had a temper tantrum that continues to rage on. What a waste of tax payer bucks! Joe Wilson owes the people of America an apology. For lying. For creating a firestorm where the wasn’t a fire. And for wasting time, resources and expense on his own ego fluffing ass-covering antics.
