Is John Edwards Cheating on Elizabeth?

Uh oh.
The MSM seems to be strenuously trying to not report it. Given how Edwards’ campaign has tacitly and effectively used Elizabeth and her struggle, etc., I think if true it’s scummy behavior on his part that Democratic primary voters should know about. His campaign is denying it. …
I really hope these rumors are not true; this sort of bullshit happens all the time and its a big part of the cultural rot that has taken root in America. Cheating spouses is nothing new, and polcats are not immune to it. It just really sucks when one has cancer…it’s that whole, IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH thing…
One would assume that if this is true, Edwards’ campaign would effectively be over, right?

I really don’t think his campaign would end just like that–like Kaus said, it would look a LOT worse and more like an admission of guilt if he were to drop out, rather than deny it and sink in the polls until he’s forced to drop out.
Although I can’t stand John Edwards and would love to see him embroiled in a scandal, I still wouldn’t wish this on anyone (even though Elizabeth Edwards is a complete asshole). I do have a hard time believing this story as of now, at least until there’s more evidence of it. I mean, can even John Edwards really be THAT stupid? Arrogant, yes, but THAT stupid? He’s sure no rocket scientist, but he’d have to be borderline retarded to do this!
Or, maybe he’s just not thinking with his brain at all.

And there is much chatter that Hillary is somehow involved with this “leak”- and perhaps Obama. I doubt it would be Obama. But Hillary- yes- this fits right in with her style and sense of ethics.
Mrs. Edwards just doesn’t need this right now.

WOMD Presidents DO do this.
But one running for that job really shouldn’t. Esp when his wife is dying, and esp when she is doing much of his dirty work for him.
