John Kerry: Swiftboating himself again
Posted by Kim on November 6th, 2007
John Kerry’s words keep coming back to haunt him.
U.S. Sen. John Kerry’s comments on Monday regarding a possible future bid for the presidency, and his arming up against the group Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, are reopening old wounds from the Vietnam War and the 2004 presidential race.

The 63-year-old Kerry said Monday that he might run for president again, perhaps in 2012. He also said he has compiled a dossier on his critics at Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group that dogged Kerry in the 2004 race.

During the 2004 campaign, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth accused Kerry of embellishing his military service to further his political career, a view that seems right to Tom Mustin of Coronada, Calif., a former Navy lieutenant commander who says he has no involvement with the Swift boat group.“You don’t get that kind of reaction from your comrades in arms because they’re in a different political party,” said Mustin, a registered Republican. “It’s the way he tried to amplify what he did and create a war hero record for himself. That’s very offensive to me.”
Others faulted Kerry for failing to sign a waiver allowing the Navy to release his military records during the 2004 campaign.
“It was such a simple thing for him to do, he could have deflated the whole Swift boat attacks,” said Terry Baugh of San Diego, a registered Republican.
Democrat Mark Keaney of Pensacola, Fla., a retired Navy pilot commander, said: “Until Kerry releases his total military record, there can be no discussion about his past or his future.”
While Kerry ultimately did sign a waiver n in 2005, after the presidential election n the information remains available only to members of the media and not the general public, critics charge. They’d also like to see Kerry’s journal and self-made films covering his Vietnam service.
Kerry did not sign his 180 for full public review. Releasing some records to certain media outlets isn’t good enough and the fact that the media outlets are liberally biased makes a huge impression upon people. John Kerry has secrets he wants to see remain hidden, otherwise he would open his military record to all.
On Monday, Kerry said: “I have no doubt at all that some of the people involved on the other side don’t care about the truth, think nothing about distorting it, will not hesitate to say and do whatever they think is necessary to win. But I think we are now much more prepared and savvy about those kind of things, and certainly in my own involvement, I will make certain that people don’t get away with that.”
Kerry aide David Wade said Tuesday in a prepared statement: “What was true in 1969 and true in 2004 is still true today: Sen. Kerry served his country with honor, and the right wing was disgustingly wrong to smear a decorated combat veteran. An assault on one veterans’ service is an attack on all veterans.”
Ahhh but Mr. Kerry forgets now doesn’t he? Those who served with him in Vietnam do question his integrity and honor because none of them witnessed the atrocities he testified as being fact; no one remembers elements of battle where Kerry claims he received his injuries. The only thing many veterans remember were the drama filled moments when Mr. Kerry tossed those decorations. In my opinion, he is a phoney soldier if I ever saw one.
We’re still waiting by the way, John for your full disclosure of your military records, so we can judge for ourselves your honorable service.

Signing a complete SF180 would validate the Swift Boat Vet’s claims and sink Hanoi John like the titanic. Hundreds of lawyers have spent millions of Heinz dollars attempting to destroy all of Hanoi’s military records, not to release them.

Kim, I cannot even imagine where you get off on this issue, considering that most of this administration are chicken hawks who refused to serve at all and then had the nerve to send other people into battle. If I were you, I’d stay pretty far off this topic as it is so incredibly embarrassing that our chicken hawks in office either ignored or fired every expert in their own administration who didn’t agree with them, then they did such a piss-poor job at managing this war. You should be hiding your head in shame for helping elect this pathetic bunch. I have a feeling Kerry would have handled it a hell of a lot better– Oh! That’s right, Maybe Kerry wouldn’t have put us there at all! Maybe he would have gone after Al-Quida instead!

And Kerry wrote all of those medal for himself in Vietnam… then threw them at the White House in Lord Temujin Genghis Khan fashion? Result in 2004 read BUSH 61,000,000 votes to Kerry’s 59,000,000 and 31 Red States of America to Kerry’s 19 blue states of socialism.
