Protesting Leftards….

…just doing their part to stop the evil machinery of death from being sent over seas to kill more innocent Iraqis…
OLYMPIA, Wash — At least three more protesters were arrested Sunday as demonstrations continued against shipments of military cargo through the Port of Olympia.
Others were sprayed with pepper spray by police as they tried to block trucks hauling equipment to Fort Lewis after it was unloaded from a ship carrying the gear back from Iraq.
Protests at the port began Tuesday, after the USNS Brittin arrived and began unloading equipment that had been used in Iraq by the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division from Fort Lewis.
OHHHHHHH. Little too late. All that equipment is taking a break from killing off the left’s allies Al Qaeda in Iraq and is back from a much deserved rest. But I guess they are just “fightin’ the man”, just “doin’ their part”. Unfortunately, the police sent to break up the leftards interlocking hands and blocking traffic didn’t use excessive force..
Olympia police in riot gear moved in quickly, spraying pepper spray in the faces of the protesters, pushing them with their batons and dragging them away from the road.

The protesters at the freeway entrance linked arms through PVC pipes and sat in the road. Several convoys drove around them, and police shot pepper spray pellets at them.
When they refused to move, officers sawed through the PVC pipes, handcuffed the protesters and dragged them to a police vehicle.

At the port’s gates, protesters wearing goggles and other protective gear withstood several rounds of pepper spray but were physically removed by officers who picked them up and threw them away from the road they had blocked, The Olympian newspaper reported.
One protester, Andrew Yankey, told The Olympian that officers removed protesters’ protective goggles and sprayed them directly in the face.
“I was dragged and sprayed in the face repeatedly,” he said. “My goggles were ripped off my face and stolen.”
Poor widdle Andwew. Came to protest and the evil pigs removed his goggles and sprayed him in the face. I am reminded of the scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail… “Help help I am being repressed. See the Violence inherent in the system!!!” Frickin’ rejects from the gene pool….

Can I go drive one of the 40,000 pound, 500 HP rigs? How may protesters would it take to stop a run away rig of that size? Leaving a greasy spot on the road would be a joy.

Having attended a few counter-demonstrations and having lived in San Francisco when we initiated Operation Iraqi Freedom, I can only say that what I’ve seen and heard from these portside twits (I usually reserve the term “twit” for Maureen Dowd, but watching liberal protesters in action, the term actually enjoys a much broader application) in the course of their demonstrations, I find myself inwardly chanting, “Tien-en-men! Tien-en-men!”
These folks have no respect for anyone or anything(least of all those brave men and women who virtually live in harm’s way on behalf of our country), except themselves and their convoluted view of reality.
I find it bizarre that these same loons become “exercised” when their patriotism (or lack thereof) is questioned.
