Although like Ogre, I find the Solicitor General’s comments disturbing, there is one important difference between Amendments 1 and 2. The second does indeed include the term “well-regulated”, while the first does not mention anything similar on which limitations may be based. Still, that “right of the people” part doesn’t seem very important to the SG.

Yeah.. I find myself nodding in agreement with Kat’s post. I am not ready to abandon the GOP quite yet… mainly because there just isn’t a viable alternative available. It would be almost easier to put pressure on the party and then hopefully enact some change back to the root positions and issues the GOP used to stand for…

I don’t think I’ll abandon the GOP ever short of a viable third party…but I can deny money to the party; I can vote for Independent candidates and I can vote Donkey too up here in NH…

Vote Donkey? Only if the first part of the last name starts with “Lieber” and ends with “men”….

I would not vote before I voted Donkey, I think.
