Dirty Harry Wants To Be Gagged: Lemme At Him

Harry Reid says: GAG ME. Yeah, I will.
WASHINGTON — The $146 billion stimulus package intended to jolt the economy by giving taxpayers rebates up to $1,200 includes cash returns for illegal immigrants who pay taxes.
Under the plan passed by the House, illegal immigrants who qualify as “resident aliens” and earned a minimum of $3,000 would be eligible for rebates of between $300-$600, FOX News has learned.
Only those illegals who have been assigned an Individual Tax Identification Number that allows them to file income taxes would be eligible. Resident aliens are defined as people who spend a “substantial” amount of time in the U.S. and have not been deported.
The provision has irked illegal immigration opponents, who say the assigning of TINs and collection of taxes from illegals sanctions their presence in the country.
Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., told FOX News that the bill will certainly stimulate “more illegal immigration.”
No duh!
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid blasted the proposal to send rebates to those with higher incomes, saying it “causes me to want to gag.” The feeling is widespread among Democrats, he added, saying the “the gag reflex is coming upon everybody” over the plan.
So what does Dirty Harry want to do with this money?? Take a wild guess.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said she hoped the Senate would “take this bill and run with it.”
Reid, D-Nev., said that was unlikely in the freewheeling Senate, where members have elaborate wish-lists for adding to the bill, including food stamps, Medicaid and heating assistance for low-income people and spending on infrastructure projects, among other things.
WTF is this? A refund that is really nothing more than welfare? Unfreakinbelievable.

Based on the current rules from the House, my wife and I would not be eligible because we made more than the maximum amount dictated this year (due to my separation package from the USAF). We normally do not make that much money, and in any other year we would qualify easily. But this year, nope. Our rebate money must go to someone who did not pay taxes at all. And those who live in high cost of living areas, both spouse working, will probably make more than the 150,000 dollars max for a married couple. Wealth redistribution anyone? And the Republicans signed on for this? Another reason my faith in the GOP is faltering.

I qualify…every year I do not get a “refund”…I figure my taxes out to the pennies and never owe either. It’s almost perfect. To me, getting a refund is a waste of good money; people should bank that cash instead of allowing the government to use and abuse it.
According to the formulas I have read I am due to get a rebate…or whatever it’s called. When the appropriate time arrives I am sending the IRS a certified letter telling them to not send me one dime of this stupid and wasteful “boost to the economy”- I want no part of it. I don’t deserve it- I pay my taxes and plan it just right…no need to mess all that up with a refund that isn’t really a refund but a loan, that I will end up paying for with even MORE taxes. LOL
