You never feel the existence of the Muslim community…

Posted by Raven on March 28th, 2008

Isn’t this just dandy.

Muslims students at the University of Miami have organized for the Islamic call to prayer, broadcasted each Friday afternoon this month from Richter Library’s clock tower in commemoration of Islamic Awareness Month.

The call to prayer, or Adhan, is spoken in Arabic and is meant to resonate throughout the area.

“It serves as constant reminder of when we have to pray, because prayer itself is a reminder of our religion and how we practice it,” said Selima Jumarali, the vice president of the organization.

According to the teachings of Islam, Muslims are to pray five times a day. In Muslim-majority countries, the call is usually performed live by an individual and is heard before every prayer.

Do we have a Christian Awareness Month? Or a Jewish Awareness Month? How about a Buddism Awareness Month? No, of course not.

“It brings true variety to the university and open appreciation to diversity, especially in these times when people have misunderstandings of Muslims and who we are,” she said.

I don’t know about others, but everything I ever wanted to learn about Islam I learned on September 11 2001. That was enough for me. I’m really getting sick and tired of all the pandering to Muslims. I don’t want to have any more awareness of their religion, because it’s not peaceful.

I’m really getting sick and tired of all the pandering to Muslims.

This pandering doesn’t help one bit. It will be interpreted as submission or dhimmitude, not as respect. And it will not, in the slightest degree, stop those muslims who are violent from being violent.

Speaking of Muslim Awareness…Would your “church,” if you fellowship with one, put on it’s bulletin board hateful articles from the anti-semitic, terrorist group Hamas? Barack Obama’s CURRENT church, Trinity United Church of Christ, did just that.

We just found out in the last 48 hours that Wright, while giving a eulogy in 2007, said that “(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him… The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”

Now comes a report by NBC News that while Wright was in charge at Obama’s CURRENT church, reprinted anti-Israel writings, including one column by none other than Hamas leader, Mousa Abu Marzook, appeared on the bulletin board there.

The column by the Hamas leader, Mousa Abu Marzook, asked: “Why should any Palestinian recognise the monstrous crimes carried out by Israel’s founders and continued by its deformed modern apartheid state?”

The question becomes one of judgment, character, integrity, honesty and intelligence.

If I were to believe Obama’s defense that he didn’t, and still doesn’t, know what was, and still is, going on at his church for 20 years, then, in my opinion, he must not be very observant nor intelligent, and does not possess sensible judgement. Therefore he cannot be qualified to be the POTUS, in my opinion. If I do NOT believe Obama, then his integrity, character and honesty is woefully insufficient to be the POTUS, in my opinion.

Obama went to Harvard Law School (they don’t let just anybody in), where he became the first African-American president of the prestigious Harvard Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude in 1991. Now do you think he is NOT aware of what his church and ex-pastor are all about? Be AFRAID! Be VERY AFRAID!

Barack Obama’s political FRAUD against the American People continues…

The ObOmb is a dangerous man. He’s not worthy of being the POTUS- and he will sink us to a level we have never been at.

I don’t understand the “power” he has on people. I really don’t…it must be some sort of magical mystery thing. It certainly isn’t his ability. Or ideas.
