I would love to find a place to buy one of those “America Is Full” tee shirts — of course, being in New York for the moment, I’d probably get shot for wearing it. When you walk down a crowded sidewalk here, you see maybe 3 gringos for every 20 “other”. If it weren’t for signs in English, it would be like being in a developed third world country.

That barbeque could best be titled, “Tasty Face”. It looks…well, Yum!

I tend to agree with you on NAFTA, Raven, but then you know I firmly believe that there is an NAU agenda behind both NAFTA and the so-called Security & Prosperity Partnership (SPP) of North America. Give it about 2 more years, and all those illegals will be legal, with ID to prove it, and fellow conservatives will wake up too late to do anything about it, short of armed insurrection.

    And, thanks for linking!

  2. Duncan Says:

Seth, if they try to set up some sort of American Union, like the EU, I’ll be the first to call BS. It won’t be long before we start to lose our autonomy, just like Europe has. I do not want armed resurrection to be the only choice left to us, we got to nip this in the bud early and fight it everytime it raises its tyrannical head…

  3. Seth Says:

Duncan, there has been too much evidence over the past few years that the SPP is a precurser to an NAU, an agenda being run completely past Congress via incremental political and diplomatic steps, total press blackouts during summit meetings by the three leaders (incumbents at hand, Bush being the only one prevalent throughout) of the 3 N.A. countries while the only other attendees have been the corporate leaders of the U.S., Canada and Mexico and the U.S. Foreign Relations Committee.

This is a stealth agenda that most conservatives who have heard about consider just another “yeah, yeah, I know” conspiracy thing. “How can anything like this happen without Congressional involvement?” A couple of years ago, even Tom Tancredo remarked on it.

I won’t go further, I really hate hearing that I’m being “paranoid”, and I have never before referred to any other such “yeah, right” agendas, but it’s there and it’s real. Do some research and draw your own conclusions.

  4. Duncan Says:

The first time I began to take the AU thing somewhat seriously was when I read Glenn Beck’s “Inconvenient Book”, where he addresses this issue. To me, I still feel it is partially in the conspiracy theory realm, much like the UN blue hats ready to enforce some one world order. However, when evidence is laid down, I can see a trend developing, and I am much more in tune now that I have been made aware that there is a growing possibility that some are trying to undermine our Constitution and autonomy. I don’t think you, and others, who interpret certain moves by those in and out of our government as precursors to the NAU, are conspiracy theorists looking for black helicopters while wearing tin foil hats, otherwise we’ll need to get me a padded room set up myself…

  5. thud Says:

Happy St.George’s day from an English reader.

  6. Bigfoot Says:

Some interesting tidbits there, here’s my $0.02:

If Hillary gets her ambition, and causes some regional (rather than global) warming in Iran, I won’t be complaining about it. Ditto if McCain gets the honor. Obama, on the other hand, wouldn’t have the nerve to do what Hillary is proposing. He’d rather *talk* to Ahmadinnerjacket and his mullahs.

I’m a descendant of those Polish Catholic immigrants mentioned in the WSJ article, and Slovak Catholic immigrants, too. That’s Polish and Slovak Catholic LEGAL immigrants, for any open-borders trolls out there. I won’t go as far to cut off all immigration, but other than that, I’m pretty much in line with Tom T. My ancestors obeyed the rules. Those who wish to follow them should do the same.

Giving birth and returning to work 3 days later, at age 44. Now THAT’s impressive! I bow in the general direction of Alaska. Surely feminists will recognize Governor Palin for being the strong woman that she is. Oh, wait, that honor is only reseved for liberal women, or women who abort rather than give birth. Never mind.

Did NAFTA bring in all those illegals? It seems that the influx of illegals really picked up with the Bush presidency. I don’t think it was quite that bad under Clinton, even though NAFTA passed back in 1993. (And I’m far from being Mr. Bill’s biggest fan.) Instead, I blame poor border security and dishonest American employers willing to pay substandard wages.

  7. Bigfoot Says:

Oh, and I forgot. I like your Earth Day menu. It’s making me hungry. Is it lunch time yet?

  8. Raven Says:

Seth, your welcome for the link.

And my cookout was a total success….16 guests and tons of food all gone…5 bags of coal and as many bowls of salad and corn. LOL
Twas’ yummy…if not a bit rawdy as we tend to get.

  9. Raven Says:

I believe there is an effort with this NAU thing. But I also think it will go away when Bush leaves office…he was a driving force behind all that.

And I believe he allowed this business culture to thrive where it’s ok to can and lay off Americans…and replace them with illegals.

  10. Raven Says:

LOL I keep hitting submit before I’m done.

Anyway the fact is many American businesses closed up shop here at home and moved down to Mexico - over the past 8 yrs. Thats hundreds of thousands of jobs gone. Then we had the new mantra of JOBS AMERICANS won’t DO– and hence this whole immigrant bullshit. How many jobs have been lost, stolen given away??

How many people on government assistance and add to that the illegals we’re all paying for? Is it worth those few pennies we seem to think we’re saving with cheap labor? I don’t think so.

  11. MCMarine Says:

Lots to remark on, but I’ll keep it short. As far as going back to work after pregnancy…I went back the next day. I’m not sure how long it took the wife though. That was forty years ago.

On losing jobs to overseas. If congress would lower taxes on production and manufacturing we would be able to better compete with the government subsidised businesses around the world. We are the highest taxed subjects (sarcasm intended) in the industrialized world.

This wasn’t mentioned but I’m on a roll. WE have enough oil to supply ALL of our needs fo 500 years. If we dumped our oil on the market the price of gas would drop to 1/2 of what we’re paying now.

I’m one of the “radical right”. Love it!!!

  12. MCMarine Says:

For the jobs they could not export they brought illegals in to do…If Americans were hungry enough there would be no job they wouldn’t do.

  13. Seth Says:

Raven, I don’t know about the Bush part — the leaders of Canada and Mexico have both changed, yet the agenda goes on. I’m waiting to see how our next President actually goes on this.

“Jobs Americans won’t do” — I personally know of a community about 50 miles from NYC where home builders use criminal aliens as framers, carpenters, plumbers, roofers and painters. These jobs are all career jobs for Americans, a bunch of whom I call friends, but one never sees this brought up by the MSM.
