Obama’s Language Barriers

Posted by Raven on July 10th, 2008

Listen to the Obomb make the declaration that Americans need to stop complaining about Hispanic immigrants refusing to learn English…and start teaching our kids to speak Spanish.

…to me this is just one more example of his anti American attitude.

And watch this too- here he complains and is embarrassed that Americans cannot speak French when we’re vacationing in Europe:

Read this:

Barack Obama has scolded Americans for embarrassing him by failing to speak other languages while traveling abroad, yet forcing Europeans to speak English while here. Are you embarrassed, too? Don’t be.

Maybe he’s just uncomfortable with the truth or simply has a political interest in disregarding it and exploiting the current mindless vogue among America’s elites to feel ashamed of our country.

But no matter how humiliating Obama finds our monolingual ways, there’s good reason why Americans don’t have to speak foreign languages while others must speak English: The U.S. has unprecedented influence in international affairs, an indispensable role in global markets and economic superiority. Simply put, we are the world’s dominant nation.

UUgh. A typical leftist pandering fool. A clown. A moron. Who has a pretty high chance of becoming our next President. I’m ashamed of him. And he will bring much shame to the US if elected.

Want some more French, Barry? How about:

Vouz avez besoin de fermer votre grande bouche, parce que vous avez beaucoup de merde dans votre tĂȘte.

How can people listen to him talk and think he is worth electing as our President? This just goes to show you how many idiots live in the US.

The problem is not the idea of Americans learning to speak other languages; that is something worth encouraging.

The problem is that Obama is doing something very different. His aim here is to denigrate* the very American people he wishes to lead in the eyes of the world – and he does this in order to gain some laughs from his foreign audience from his pandering to their prejudices in the hopes of currying their favor. He wants to build himself up at our expense by putting us down.

For American to put up with the abusive behavior would mean that we’ve become masochists. Hopefully enough Americans will stand up for ourselves and our dignity and our country and our freedom come November – else we’re going to become slaves.

*I’m waiting for the Dallas County language gestapo to come after me for using this obviously racist word…

There’s a lot of misreporting about Sen. Obama’s comments. He did NOT say that more of our children need to learn “a foreign language.” He specifically said that they need to learn Spanish.

I think more Americans should learn a foreign language. It would help this country immensely. But no single foreign language should dominate. Too many of our children are learning the SAME foreign language. That’s of not help to this country.

We need to emphasize as great a variety of foreign languages as we can get. And that means much less Spanish. Nicht wahr?
