Rainy Day Blues

As I was leaving for work yesterday afternoon, things got a little wet.
I mean downpour WET! And thunder. And lightening. For hours.
After the rain ended, some fog rolled up the hills near my work.
Did I mention that I love rain??

Beautiful pictures! I hate driving in downpours like that, but after the storm ends the earth smells so fresh!

We got some rain here in the D.C. area too, but nothing this spectacular.
I have always like the rain as well — particularly when I’m curled up with a good book.

I love rain too, but, daaaaaamn! I hit some major rain on 540 coming back from Grandfather Mountain yesterday. It was coming down so hard, with such high winds, plus some hail for about 2 minutes that I actually had to stop. I was waiting for the tornado, it was so bad.

Yesterday’s rain topped it all and I don’t have any pictures of that. It was tremendous to say the least.

yeah Teach sometimes it gets that bad up here too and we also have to deal with the fog. When it rains it fogs. Big time. Nightime driving is the worst with the heavy downpours…I’m used to it and I do LOVE the rain…the feel, the scent. I always sleep better too during rain storms.
