Obama’s Basketball Blues
Posted by Raven on July 28th, 2008
Ahh the health of our presidential candidates is important. And they know it…they go to great lengths to show us how active and healthy they are.
Look at Obama, for example. He likes to play basketball. Even at the ripe old age of 47.
Yep.
(CHICAGO) – After publicly mentioning a hip injury last week while visiting the troops in Kuwait, Barack Obama decided to have it looked at tonight.
He arrived at the University of Chicago Medical Center at around 9pm ET for a scheduled appointment.
Per his senior strategist Robert Gibbs, Obama injured his hip while playing basketball a few weeks ago. It has been bothering him a bit and he wanted to have it checked out. And, of course, he wants to get back on the basketball court.
After about 50 minutes inside the hospital, Obama walked out and said that he had some “small x-rays” taken but that “everything’s OK.”
I say, Obama, that you’re a bit old to be playin the game these days. Sore hips aren’t good. And they’re even worse when your opponent is in his 70’s and doesn’t gimp around.

This is, by far, your silliest post yet. 47 is too old to play basketball?
But thankfully, you got one thing right….Obama got next. McSame is gonna look like the Washington Generals by the time this thing is over.

Bunny I merely suggested that Obama stop playing a game that is causing him pain. And most professional basketball players are no where near 47 yrs of age…which isn’t old at all- but is ancient in terms of typical age of players.
Perhaps Obama should take up something like golf.

Obama is not playing professional basketball. You see, basketball is another of a growing list of subjects of which I am an expert and you know little or nothing.
I know plenty of men and women in their 50s playing basketball at a higher level than Barak Obama.
I am also an expert on golf. Feel free to post on this subject at any time, and I’ll correct all of your mistakes. It’ll be no problem.

Hey you be the expert. I’m just quoting from an article that Obama has had issues with playing the game and I think, in my opinion, he should find another game, another sport. After all, being in pain isn’t good. I know all about pain and it’s effects on the human body; I am the expert on those things.
Don’t get so damn defensive. Sheesh. One can’t say anything that’s perceived as negative about the Messiah now can they? Where did free speech go? Oh that’s right…it’s free when its politically correct and not offensive to the tender FEELINGS of liberals.

Your opinions on sports mean nothing. You’re a woman!
An expert on pain and it’s effects on the human body? Good Lord, I gotta tell some of the S&Mrs I know about this site. But on a serious note, maybe with all of your knowledge you can get yo’self into the waterboarding business.
You can say anything negative you want about the Messiah. You should refrain from posting on topics you know very little about, however. I don’t know much about (let me think for a minute…) synchronized swimming, so I don’t offer an opinion on it. Follow my lead, woman.

Hey Bunny. I think we should all shut up as none of us has a degree in political science.
And since I am a pilot and a military member, I suggest you defer to me in all things military, and flying. I don’t want your uninformed opinion ’bout Iraq, or Afghanistan, or anything else relating to either the military or our tactics/strategy there.
Man. I like this. Using Bunny logic I can tell everyone else, except other military guys, to shut the hell up! Yes.

Since I work in nursing I should have some say in issues related to pain…but the BunnyMan has spoken. Sheman knows it all. So we all need to shaddup already.

DunceCap- Not to inflate your ego, but I do think your opinion holds more merit than all of the war-crazed chickenhawks whom always want to go to war, but leave the fighting to someone else’s kid. Thank you for your service. You’ll probably say that this statement means little to you since I wrote it, but I assure you it is from the heart. If it weren’t for people like you, we wouldn’t be having this back and forth.
And point taken on the poly sci degree point. I was just trying to razz raven with the typical “women dont know nuthin” about sports flame. Just trying to stir the pot.
That being said, please refer to me as shaman- not sheman, Raven. For I can see the future, and it’s looking pretty bright for me and my kind. Thanks.
