Time to channel my inner “Weird Al”. This is called Hypocrites, and is sung to the tune of Henry The Eighth by Herman’s Hermits.
John Edwards is a hypocrite
He’s a hypocrite, that’s what his is
Silky Pony with the Breck Girl hair
Faulted Clinton during his affair
But now he cheats on Elizabeth (‘Lizabeth!)
Messing with a Hunter named Rielle (oh, hell!)
Johnny Edwards is a hypocrite
Hypocrite is what he is
Second verse, sounds even worse
Al Gore’s another hypocrite
Even though he made the Internet
Wants less fossil fuel for you and me
While he burns it riding his jet ski
He spends a lot on utilities (’tilities!)
Costing him a couple grand a month (that dunce!)
Albert Gore’s another hypocrite
Hypocrite is what he is

Craig is another hypocrite
Larry Craig is one more hypocrite
Preaches values of the family
And conservative morality
But what he did was disorderly (orderly!)
Messing in that airport bathroom stall (what gall!)

Lots of hypocrites out there, oh yeah

Of course, these guys are merely a small sample of the many hypocrites in our political class. There may not be enough space left on Al Gore’s Internet to give them all the crap they deserve. Some information about Al’s new toys can be found at the Nashville City Paper.

Excellent Bigfoot. And it is so true what you say about our political class here in the U.S., both the Dems and the Repubs. I am
convinced that the parties are more out of party power than what is good for the U.S. Both parties are competing for an oligarchy instead of representing the people (ofcourse, the 17th Amendment needs to be repealed and return the Senate to the states). It is sickening to watch, and makes me even that more fearful that our Republic will crumble in on itself….

And sadly, true. As Duncan says, if we continue down this path we will become the real peons and that is exactly what so many of our elected ONES want.
