New England Weather is Changing

Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each. (Henry David Thoreau)
One of my favorite times of year has just about arrived: Autumn. In New England, this means crisp cool mornings and warm but breezy sunny afternoons. The daylight time is shorter; there’s a distinctive scent in the air.
At the local stores, apples are starting to appear in abundance in the produce sections. The pumpkins are getting quite big at the farms and the corn is almost ready for harvest.
Fall is not far away- I took these pictures this am.
View from back porch: Note the slight and very subtle red hue:
View of a small brook next to my bedroom: The red is more noticable. Autumn, as in the actual weather change, is just about upon us.

I got my copy of the latest Yankee Magazine which always reminds me to check out it’s companion web site…so I did that and it has a section of recommended fall foliage day trips. I’ve embarked upon ALL of these but must say the Maine routes are absolutely the very best! Second I would have to recommend the Vermont trips. NH would be third.
Then I went to Yankee’s Food Section, where a recipe for Baby Backribs caught my eye.
My boring recipe includes honey/chive barbecue sauce and beer.
THIS recipe- Baby Back Ribs with Coffee Spice Rub- is one I am going to DO. Tomorrow. Sounds YUMS.
The seasons change up here and I love that. Just when I’m getting bored with summers’ hot, hazy humid days, the fall breezes kick up…strips the trees of their leaves and winter arrives in a miserable storm. My snowmobile is always ready though. Come live in New Hampshire. LOL or one of the other New England states…BUT DO NOT live in MA or VT. Good GAH no. And Maine is pretty liberal as well…come to think of it, RI sucks and CT is too snobby. So, NH it is!

Enjoying the pleasant Autumn weather is Offensive To Muslims because it makes you less willing to follow the Will of Allah. Allah wills that you suffer so that you will more fully appreciate the bliss of Paradise after you blow yourself up at a New England farmstand full of infidels.
LA! LA! LA! LA! LA! LA! LA!

I miss the autumn colors and the pleasure of rustling through fallen leaves, though we do get some interesting cloud patterns here. Then again, fall is followed by winter, and I don’t miss mid-Atlantic winters.
