IBD Poll: Reflecting a Trend Not Reported by MSM

Posted by Raven on November 2nd, 2008

Well isn’t this interesting?

The race tightened again Sunday as independents who’d been leaning to Obama shifted to McCain to leave that key group a toss-up. McCain also pulled even in the Midwest, moved back into the lead with men, padded his gains among Protestants and Catholics, and is favored for the first time by high school graduates.

Sounds like the UNDECIDED are starting to DECIDE. In McCain’s favor.

Ed Morrisey:

The internals are interesting, but the topline results show two potentially disturbing trends for Obama. First, Obama has never gotten to 50% in the TIPP poll, and now has dropped below 47%. A Democrat hasn’t won 50% of the vote in decades, and Obama may have the same problem John Kerry had in 2004. Related to that is the high level of undecideds. Almost 9% still have not made up their minds about the election, and as I wrote earlier today, that bodes ill for Obama. If he hasn’t made the sale with this group by now, it’s likely that most of them will wind up in McCain’s column on Tuesday.

The trend I see in my area is mirrored in this poll: People who weren’t sure who to vote for ARE going to McCain. Why? Barry is too arrogant. All the Messiah shit is coming back to people’s memory. They don’t like big ego… His comments about “changing the world” and raising taxes on “wealthy” people who earn as much as…gasp….$120,000 yr….are not going over well AT ALL.

Tuesday will be here in 24 hours or so. Dixville NH will start voting at midnight, and the best man will win…okay- not the best man if Barry Hussein wins, but…perhaps McCain has a better chance here than the MSM wants us to know.

I also think that the “undecideds” are going to go with someone that actually has a track record of accomplishments that don’t include voting “present” and writing two autobiographies, as well as someone who has taken a stand on tough positions. Is Barack Obama completely devoid of experience. Ofcourse not. He’s got experience, it is just that it is absolutely miniscule when compared to McCain (and neither have an executive experience besides McCain’s time as a squadron commander in the Navy, which is still more than Obama). No, I am hoping that the voter fraud that is bound to happen with all of the voter registration fraud won’t push this election in Obama’s direction, especially with the polls tightening among the living, properly register voters.

The other thing I keep hearing is security. National security. Its a distant third on people’s mind- some people anyway- but it’s still there. I was dancing to hear that- because I believe we’ve become complacent once again to the threat. We’ve gone back to Sept 10th thanks to Barry and his lot. They want us to forget.

Trouble is, what will HE do if Sept 11th happens again?
