sweet, sweet words that turn to bitter orange wax in my ears. only ignorant people cast their vote based on identity politics. Woman who want to vote McCain/Palin because Palin is a women and peeps who want to vote for Obama/Biden because Obama is black should just stay home Nov. 4th.

Video is showing no longer available.

I think that religious/traditionally-minded women like Sarah Palin. Femi-nazis (to quote El Rushbo) and their crazy ilk don’t like her because she embodies the powerful, political woman that doesn’t share their politics. Atleast that is my hypothesis…

  3. Duncan Says:

    dj,

I couldn’t agree with you more. Voting on the basis of skin color or genitalia is just about as dumb and ignorant as you can get. Yet another reason that we live, currently, in a republic instead of a democracy. Can it be a factor in your vote, ofcourse. But it shouldn’t EVER be the primary reason to cast your ballot. That person’s politics/positions should matter more.

  4. Stix Says:

I love Sarah Palin. She has made voting for McCain easier. Palin in 2012.
McCain will only be there for 1 term if he wins.

She is the new kind of Republican we are looking for.

  5. Raven Says:

Only the ignorant? How about intolerant.

Identity politics? How about not being able to identify with a woman who has IT ALL, for real: Lots of kids, one with a disability *by choice*; a manly man husband; a grueling career…a pregnant teenage daughter…yep- all the things liberal women really despise.

The ONLY problem SOME women have with Palin is her **choice** to have a handicapped child vs. her OPTION to abort the child. She is a threat to women who try very hard to keep the abortion rights movement alive with tall tales of the HORRORS of raising such children. Palin shows, in true colors and grit, that it CAN be done even by the busiest women.

I know a lot of people who are indeed voting to Barry Hussein simply because he is black. Its teh brotherhood thing.

I just went and the Utoob is still up.

  7. dj Says:

    Raven,

I think you and i have different ideas about what identity politics means. However I am impressed that you went from your own version of identity politics to isolating a sub-set of Palin fans that fit your needs (The ONLY problem SOME women have with Palin…) to broad sweeping statements on abortion. Its a good thing you didn’t work in something about Iraq and the housing crisis because that would be so cool i would have to ask you out : )

What’s weird is that you try to make Palin a role model for women based on what she has accomplished (apparently she has it all…), but you don’t acknowledge that some black people might be doing the same thing for Obama. Why say women should vote the McCain/Palin ticket because Palin is a girl with “it all”, and not say that African Americans should vote for Obama because he is a black man with “it all”?

  8. Nel Says:

Here’s why I don’t like Palin. It is very very clear from every time she has spoken unscripted, that she has no depth of knowledge of any of the major issues before us, or of history. It’s not a mystery that the McCain camp didn’t let her off her very short leash verbally.
she simply hasn’t spent the time learning about the issues, and if she hasn’t spent the time, she doesn’t care enough. We already had that with George Bush, why anyone would want it again is beyond me. As far as her beliefs go, I cannot see any difference between her and George Bush.
    None. Please, tell me one.

  9. Stix Says:

Nel, what planet have you been hiding on. If you think that she has no depth of knowledge, than Obama must be the most unknowledgable person on the planet. She ha smore grasp of what is going on than both Obama and Biden combined.

If you thinkshe is anything like Bush, you need to get help, and stop reading the MSM and drinking the cool aid.

  10. dj Says:

it would be great if stix could give us an example of his claim. I’ll give an example of nel’s claim: the couric interviews.

  11. Stix Says:

I’ll give an ewxample. Biden did not know which Article of the Constitution the the jobof CONgress and VP was in. He has been in the Judicial Committee for how long??????

And using the MSM’s cut and paste version of Palin is ridiculous. They left out so mych of the interview to make anyone looks stupid.

Let’s see, Obama has no clue on how the ecnomy works, or if he doeshe is trying to destroy it. Who in their right mind would tax people in a recssion. reminds me of the 1930s that brought us the great depression.

Obama is so naivethat hewould talk to the Nutjob in Iran, which would be a win for the Islamists around the world. theywould take that as victory andembolden themto attack us even more. You can not talk to these thugs. Ask JFK aboutthatone, without his idiotic talk with the USSR, the Cuban Missile Crisis would never have happened.

History will repeat itself, if you do not learn from your mistakes.

  12. Raven Says:

dj, the “couric” interviews were cut and pasted to absolutely make Palin look dumb. “couric” is as biased as they come. She’s a liberal mouth piece and nothing more.

SHE wore all black this time 4 yrs ago when Bush won that election. Teary eyed and puffy tailed, she was. Hardly fair or balanced.

And JFK is rolling in his grave right now- looking up at what has become of the party he once ruled. My parents used to always say the Democrat party left them…now I know why they said this. Since Carter, it’s all been downhill, every Democrat.

  13. Raven Says:

    Nel,

He simply hasn’t spent the time learning about the issues, and if he hasn’t spent the time, he doesn’t care enough.
