His record in the Senate is the farthest left, even more so than self-defined socialist Bernie Sanders. His position on abortion, which would allow babies who survive abortion to left to die, and his support for the "Freedom of Choice" Act, which would effectively nullify all restrictions on abortion, show him to be on the extreme left. His support for "redistributive change", while not quite making him a commie (since commies would simply abolish private property altogether), is as about as close as you can get.
