It’s Hillary! Or is it??

Last night I noted several blogs hammering over a British papers’ report that Hillary Clinton has accepted the job of Secretary of State offered to her by President-Elect Obama.
Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration, the Guardian has learned.
Obama’s advisers have begun looking into Bill Clinton’s foundation, which distributes millions of dollars to Africa to help with development, to ensure that there is no conflict of interest. But Democrats do not believe that the vetting is likely to be a problem.
I think Hillary would be good in this role. I also think it would be very awkward for her if she still has Presidential ambitions down the road.
No American news outlet reported this news; in fact, the headlines read a different story altogether.

I have to wonder if this is a planted “idea” given to certain media outlets, by Hillary, to somehow force Obama to offer her this position. The Clintons will do anything to get what they want…
I’ll keep tabs on the news today as it evolves on this.

Please let Hillary be S of S, it would finally get here out of NY, and we could get a senator who would actually do something.

I don’t think she should be given this job. I don’t think she should be given any job in the Obama cabinet. But if Obama is determined that he is going to give her one, let it be Secretary of Health. I wanted Richardson to get the Secretary of State position. But I haven’t heard anything from him so I guess he likes where he is or he intends to run for Prez in 2012. But Hillary doesn’t deserve this. She and Bill are still smarting over her loss but I think she will be too old to run in 2012. Women don’t age as well as men as we well know. Also, perhaps Chelsea will be married with a baby that Hillary just can’t take her eyes off and that might make Hillary say, “Goodbye, politics!”
