OOH. I just have to HAVE ONE!!

Ok, my Mom had all sorts of JFK collector items: Plates, mugs, wall hangings, clocks, Special Edition Magazines- all of which came out after President Kennedy was assassinated, sadly. My sister has that whole collection.
So I went to the sites offering these items and got all tingly feeling on my thighs. (NOT)
And there’s this one too! GOLD PLATED AND SCRIPTED in real GOLD!
Do a GOOGLE search and you’ll find hundreds of other similar, cheap items made for suckers who think they’re buying history. Me? No thanks. Obama doesn’t represent history to me. He means nothing and soon enough his fans will agree.

Obama has a fan club…of people who have little to no knowledge of what a President is supposed to do. And stand for.

The veneration of Obama makes me want to puke.
Believe it or not, I know people who are going to rent our their houses or rooms in their houses to Obama-maniacs who are coming to D.C. for the Inauguration. What the hell?

Maybe there is hope for us after all that Obama’s ascension to the throne will not herald a Socialist nation.
I mean, if his supporters can’t resist the allure of capitalism and the desire to make a buck, then they will certainly run into sales resistance when they try to put entrepreneurship under government monopoly control.
AOW, renting one’s house or rooms sounds like taking advantage of a market opportunity – another capitalist practice.
Around my parts, I’ve seen lots of sidewalk entrepreneurs springing up selling Obama t-shirts and other schlock. This outbreak of capitalist instincts may not prove so easy to stamp out in our nation.
Obama’s victory is just causing free enterprise to break out all over!

At least the JFK cult of personality started after his tragic death. Barry’s has been in full swing for months, and he won’t even take office for another 6 weeks.

Next we’ll see Coronation memorabilia. Lots of it too. Soon to be collector items. LOL, maybe someone will make a fortune selling it all on Ebay.
