The auto industry has been making it's own trouble for yrs. Poor management, fiscal irresponsibility, no vision- all created the current problems. The Union IS a HUGE factor in this. The wages and benefits are awesome! Who the hell wouldn't like to be paid 95% of their salary after being laid off, by the company and not Unemployment?? ...and so on.

The government, Democrats, LOVE this problem because it means more control over free enterprise. The government will take over the industry and ruin it even more. Get ready to buy foreign vehicles from now on...American made cars and trucks will suck even more than they do now.

I say if the government takes it all over, we all deserve a FREE car.

The major democrap politicians in the Michigan and surrounding states have taken millions in Union contributions. The democraps owe it to the unions to keep them working even if it is operating in a deficit.

It is not about the Companies, it is about the symbiant unions

10 out of 10 people disagreed with the Wall Street bailout of 750 billion that turned into 7.3 trillion of taxpayer dollars given away, we all know our government will give the big three 35 billion that will turn in to 100 billion even after all the playhouse 90 they're doing opposing it in Washington.
The only solution to get the American economy back on track lower unemployment, bring back jobs to this country and save us from a depression and get us out of debt, is STOP all the imports from CHINA, MEXICO, and any other country that is shipping goods here without paying taxes to get it here (Tariffs) if we don.t start here and now it will fail, industry needs to come back to the US by stopping foreigners from controlling what's going on in our government. If you really want to change anything in government go to: www.house.gov and find your local rep and email him, or go to: www.congress.org and look up and email your local rep, get friends and relatives to do the same.
If you are having trouble getting them you can email ME, sailingwindward@hotmailcom and I will help you voice your opinion and/or comments to your local Washington representative.

My question is, what can we as citizens of the free world do about this? How can our voices be heard? The auto industry says there are 3 million jobs at stake? I don't believe it for a minute! Where do these strange and astronomical figures come from? 3 million jobs that the auto makers claim are at stake is about the size of Los Angeles.... think about it folks.... if the entire population of Los Angeles dropped off the face of the earth tomorrow, how much impact would that have on the remainder of the planet....? I love L.A., but come on! How does the old saying go in accounting.... do we make decisions based on SUNK costs? is it appropriate to continue to make allow the sam people to make more bad decisions simply because these people have made bad decisions in the past and it is going to be costly? What's more costly, 1 bad decision, or 2 bad decisions? My question is, WHAT CAN WE AS CITIZENS OF THE FREE WORLD DO ABOUT THIS! I'M READY TO GO CAMP OUT AND BURN BONFIRES ON THESE CEO'S LAWNS!
