Illinois Governor Blagojevich Arrested

Governor Rod Blagojevich (D) and his chief of staff John Harris have been arrested on federal charges that include
alleged attempts by the governor to try to sell or trade the U.S. Senate seat left vacant by President-elect Barack Obama in exchange for financial benefits for the governor and his wife.
Looks like Blagojevich could be following his predecessor, George Ryan (R) into federal prison. Different parties, same state, same office, and if you read both stories, the same prosecutor, who is also noted for the convictions of Lewis “Scooter” Libby.

The State is Illinois. Home State of Chicago. This is corruption at the highest levels. Makes me wonder if I should trust anything that comes out of Illinois…

what’s all this talk about calling for Blagojevich to “resign?” … “throw him in prison” sounds a lot more fitting
