This is Reality! Really?

I just saw this commercial on Fox News:
Basically it is claiming that there are no “clean coal” facilities in production. Pretty clever. I know that they are working on “clean coal”, but I thought this was funny… from the This Is Reality website…
Today, coal power plants emit carbon dioxide (CO2), the pollutant causing the climate crisis. A third of the America’s carbon pollution now comes from about 600 coal-fired power plants. And of the more than 70 proposed new coal power plants, barely a handful have plans to capture and store their CO2 emissions. If these dirty plants are allowed to be built, this will mean an additional 200 million tons of global warming pollution will be emitted in America each year. Until coal power plants no longer release CO2 to the atmosphere, coal will remain a major contributor to the climate crisis.
CO2 is not a pollutant. Unless ofcourse everytime I inhale and exhale I become a major contributor to the “climate crisis”. Ofcourse, we have no proof (other than the so-called consensus) that CO2 is contributing to any global warming climate change climate crisis global cooling? global warming. But don’t let that stop the Chicken Littles from crying about the sky falling or anything.
Scientists indicate that we can avoid the worst climate impacts if we turn CO2 emissions around in the next few years. The Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Dr. Rajendra Pachauri, in 2007, said, “If there’s no action before 2012, that’s too late. What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future. This is the defining moment.” For coal to maintain a role in America’s energy mix, the industry must act quickly to stop emitting CO2
I have always held the belief that high-pressure salesman trying to get you to buy it now or it will be gone forever should always be stiff-armed. Usually the deal is not as good as it appears, and it is probably something you don’t need, and that is why they try to get you to purchase it before you can change your mind. No action before 2012? Why do they say that? Do they know? Hell nah. They have no clue. But I guarantee that they know that Obama might not be around after 2012, so you better buy that 65,000 dollar Cadillac Hybrid with the GPS system and spinners. No, nevermind that your already paid off Ford F-150 is only a few years old and running well. SAVE THE DAMN ENVIRONMENT BEFORE WE ALL BUUUUUUUURRRRRRNNN!
Once again, this is more about forcing us to accept “Cap and Trade” policies that will doom our economy and our energy infrastructure to so-called “Green” sources of energy. This is about control using an unproven hypothesis on “warming” or “cooling” or “climate change”. And I see they are getting more desperate now that information is coming out that this has more to do with “sun spots” than with man-made global “climate change”.

There is one way to significantly reduce CO2 emissions from those coal-fired power plants (and the relatively few oil-fired ones, too). Replace some of them with nuclear plants. Trouble is, the environuts hate them, too.

Not only is cap and trade crazy, its costs are regressive. Here is a link from the CBO :

Check out slide 47 for costs.

As they say, follow the money.
Another great thing to look up is “CO2 800 years.” Some very interesting research.
