Change We Can Believe In… Indeed..

Most ethical Congress and White House EVAH!

Bill Richardson has withdrawn his nomination to be commerce secretary.

Richardson, who will remain governor of New Mexico, is facing a federal grand jury investigation into whether he exchanged government contracts for contributions to three Richardson political committees.

Richardson denies any wrongdoing but the investigation won’t be finished before he has to go to a Senate confirmation hearing.

“Let me say unequivocally that I and my administration have acted properly in all matters and that this investigation will bear out that fact,” Richardson said in a statement. “But I have concluded that the ongoing investigation also would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process.”

Obama said he was accepting Richardson’s request to withdraw with “deep regret.”

Yep. Between the Blago/Senate-Seat-Clearing-House, and now Bill Richardson, seems like Change™ has come to Washington after all, except its really just a change in the party in control. Politics as usual continues unabated….. Awesome…..

And speaking of the One Who Will Bring Change and Hope™, here are the results of my Obama Test :

    I’m an embarrassment to Barack!

I only scored 18 on the Obama Test

    I’m an embarrassment to Barack!

I only scored 16 on the Obama Test

I scored 17 on the Obama Test, and am thus another embarrassment to Barack.

  4. Terri Says:

That test doesn’t seem very objective…

I think everyone knows that there is corruption in Washington. Earmarks are, at best, borderline corruption. The question is what Barack does about it when it occurs..and what he does about it where it occurs when it happens. I think how Barack responds to those who are corrupt and what he does to clean it up is what will really define his integiry.

  5. Raven Says:

    Uh Terri,
HELLO?? Corruption? Barry? They go together. There’s a pattern already.

Appointing Clinton to a high level cabinet post? Clintons always come with corruption.

BLAGO and RAHMBO. Ems should have stepped down; Barry should have insisted. He didn’t.

The priest, the home-grown terrorist pals– and so on…Barry is as corrupt as they come. He’s just got a halo around him that blinds the stupid into believing he is different.

  6. Carlos Says:

What’s the big deal about Blago? He’s no less ethical than Gregoire in Washington who literally stole an election for governor of that state, or the donks in Minnesota who have run the same fait acompli with this last election, or a myriad of other sewage plays by sitting politicians. For God’s sake, we have an unconvicted murderer sitting in the Senate!

Seems to me much too much is being made of the magnitude of Blago’s alledged crimes, when the theft of a nation is being perpetrated before our very eyes…

  7. Raven Says:

Good point Carlos. I think, for some, this Blago thing is going to be just one of many things in a list, which is growing by the day, of Barry’s unethical, thug like traits he is trying so hard to hide. Many people believe, and I think rightly so, that Barry is totally connected to the saga…we know RAHMBO is.
